I made the first version of I Write Like in 2010. It went viral (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_Write_Like) and was mentioned in New York Times, The Guardian, Forbes, etc. Since then I rewrote it multiple times and open sourced the latest version of the algorithm (https://github.com/coding-robots/goiwl).
