The thing that I keep saying is that while AI voices may "sound" good, they ALL lack a human soul. They'll likely never have the idiosyncrasies of the way a real human speaks. Yes, you can waste time manually manipulating each word/syllable but really, is that where you want to be spending your valuable time? Working with a professional voice actor will save you time and money in the long run....

Although I may be biased, you definitely need to ensure the audio quality is as good as possible because nothing is more distracting to your audience than poor audio quality.

I may be biased, but, definitely you need good audio quality. You can get that either from a professional voice actor or by doing it yourself with the right tools and knowledge. Nothing will distract your audience more than poor-quality audio. You can get away with less-than-stellar video quality, but not audio. Hope this helps!
