A lot of this makes me skeptical. For example: The specs say it has a 5000mAh battery, but that a full charge of an iPhone 6 Plus will only reduce the range by 1.25 miles. Settings aside how bizarre and unfocused of a feature this is, the iPhone 6 Plus is a 2915mAh battery. That's almost 60% of the battery in the board, yet somehow only going to reduce the range by 10%?

I think I'd feel more ridiculous riding this than carrying a typical looking electric skateboard. It's an interesting concept, but they need a lot of design help. The controller looks silly too. Compare to http://boostedboards.com

As a Dad that falls right into your target market, I have a few thoughts. I was pretty excited when I read the Product Hunt description for Fatherly. I think a resource like this could be really cool - and to be honest I've considered making it before. I was expecting some sort of hybrid site with wirecutter-esc recommendations lists and articles from Dads with activities and advice. ...

@SwampTony Thanks for the response! I'm actually running at Nite Rider Lumina 550 on my bike right now, and I still find myself adjusting the angle on it quite frequently. I'd love to see some sort of diagram for the illumination range/angles on the headlight! Do you all have any new features/improvements planned yet for the future?

Wow. This is really great. Is there a way in the app to use the flash without taking a picture - say if I wanted to use it as lighting for my DSLR?

I really considered backing these on kickstarter, but I held off for a couple reasons: 1- There's no way to adjust the angle of the headlight, and I find myself wanting my light angled down more on sidewalks/dirt trails and further out on roads. 2- There's no spec for how bright the bar end LEDs are, and I don't have a ton of faith in them being bright enough to function at turn signals...

@amotion This is a pretty different animal. Bounce.js is a web app for creating CSS animations. Whereas Velocity.js is a jquery plugin. To answer your question, Velocity.js does claim to be faster than CSS animations "in many cases". Velocity.js is also compatible back to IE8. But again, two totally different things.

Yeah, I thought of divshot when I read the description. Although they seem to be more focused on their static hosting (a good move IMO). This looks kind of crazy expensive in comparison....

This is really cool. I'd love to be able to add a "My bar" list of sorts, where I can input all the liquors and mixers I have on hand, and then filter the list of drinks based off that. I know it's a common bar app feature, but it's really useful. On the other end, It' would be cool to be able to export an ingredients/tools list for a full menu.
