I've learned it's a numbers game. Sending to a lot of people consistently is key. You might get a 8% open rate and .5% reply rate, and that means you can test things and try for higher.

I prefer whichever will give me good, concise information. If it looks like it's going to take me a long time to gather the information I need, I end up switching sources. I want a source that will help me understand quickly without filler text or content.

We launched mDash (our AI-powered project management tool built specifically for web development) to open beta today here on PH, and we're offering a discount on the paid tiers of our product. We'll see how well it works, as this is my first time launching a product, but hopefully that piques the interest of some people!
What are some of the incentives that you gave to beta-testers?

Prep for the next one! Never stop looking forward, and never give up. Things didn't go as planned? Question it. Analyze it. Figure it out. Ask why. And then get to work!
Improve your product, improve your marketing, and launch again in several months with something even better!

The first (and hardest) step is building a community to engage with! Reach out to people, interact in spaces where they frequent, chat with them, get to know them, understand their pain points, and show them that you've got their best interests at heart. You'll build a community in no time if you're motivated, consistent and genuine.
Best of luck!

And honestly, I never dreamed of being able to say that I'm the founder of a small business and a startup, and I'm launching my very own SaaS platform tomorrow! I think I have a lot to be proud of, and a lot to be grateful for. Life has a way of working itself out...
