Hey Product Hunters! 🚀
I'm thrilled to introduce Brew.fm, a tool that lets you create auto-updating playlists on Spotify. One of Brew's users recently nailed the concept on X:
"Found this site (brew.fm) that scrapes all your artists off a Spotify playlist then makes a new playlist of all their new releases. Release radar who??"
Brew has been my secret weapon for staying up-to-date with new...

Rogerer 6 here. When I was on my way to a friend and texted him that I was stuck in traffic, he texted back, I know, I see you on roger roger. That made me go hmm, maybe James made something useful this time.
A funny side effect is that I’ve become more active out of fear to be location shamed by my friends. No more hermit hermit

Hi Hammad, songs are generated when you load the website, they didn't exist a minute before that, and they will never exist again after you close the browser tab :)

Hi Product Hunters!
After No Lick Music became product of the day in 2018, something terrible happened. The site was growing fast, but some of my favorite YouTubers using the service were getting copyright strikes because of what I created.. The exact thing I was trying to solve! 😱
Turns out many artists aren't aware of who's collecting royalties on their behalf. Some of the music on our site...

Copyright infringement is a big problem for any YouTuber. 3 copyright strikes and you're out: demonetized.
The solution: use unique music. We created an algorithm that generates mp3s using recorded sounds by artists.

Tried this and totally can see how useful it is. It got a bit boring after a while as a single founder, until I discovered I can just open multiple browser tabs to deal with this problem. Now it feels like we're a team of clones running a startup.

Hi Product Hunt!
After launching the No Lick synth on Product Hunt, I got in touch with Tatsuya Takahashi, maker of Volcas, Minilogue and more at Korg. Just months later we ended up collaborating on this project.
Lauren and I sourced the designer, music specialist etc., which was so much fun that we decided to turn this concept into a business: https://okbye.io. We'll be inviting people for...

Learn how to start making electronic music using synthesizers with this game. With Ok Bye, we sourced talent from Product Hunt, Indiehackers, Reddit and Behance and invited them to work and live with us for a month in Bali, building this game with famous synthesizer maker Tatsuya Takahashi.

The story: I'm a remote dev, it took me a while to get where I am now, working for fun brands on challenging projects, while also working on my own side-projects.
A while ago I watched a James Bond movie, and thought "I want to have access to that kind of luxury, but would be embarrassed to keep it to myself". I came up with the idea to set up a network of talented devs + designers, and to...

I'm talking with artists on a daily basis building the No Lick synth. Musicians realize music distribution is a way to promote yourself, and sadly enough no longer a major sales channel.
Our 2500 early No Lick users ask frequently if the app can be used to produce copyright free music.
1 + 1 = 2. Today marks the start of No Lick music.
