It's when mentors tell you "you should test that" without asking what are the marketer or founder's skills... Like "you should test your audience and value proposition with Facebook Ads and see"... even when the person hates Facebook and would perform 10x better on another channel... The worst part is when the mentor says the same advice to everyone 😩

Hi, nice idea! Would have loved a freemium for people like me not tweeting everyday. For example, one tweet per week... Which would have fueled your user base and give more likes and RT to your payed users. For example: as long as you like and RT regularly others, you can submit your own tweets for some love :)

I explain: Product Hunt evolved from a hunter hunting<>maker launching to a place where makers have a nice shiny product pages where you can see launches, jobs, etc. but also ship pages which are like a side project I would say... I've tried BetaList, and I was quite surprised in a good way. To be honest, I didn't except anything from it. Cons: you submit your startup but if you don't pay, you have no idea when it'll be featured. Pro: it's free, super easy to submit, and it brings a few signups. Actually, we even found new international partners thanks to it! I'll give a try to the others this summer, follow me on PH...

I have a "productivity song", it's Ez3kiel album "LUX", which continues with "The Naphtaline Orchestra": when I turn it on, I'm productive... Then, depends on what we call productivity. For creativity and problem solving, I need to change my environment. For "basic" productivity, it's more about the personal energy than the environment, but a calm office will do: people around me but not too...
