Hi, I'm the developer of Bartender. I am super excited to be releasing Bartender 4. Thanks @chrismessina for hunting it.
I initially created Bartender 1 over nine years ago. When I first got a mac, I had purchased an iMac that had an HDD replacement, so the fan was going crazy. I wrote software to fix this and released this.
I then got asked by a few users if they could remove its menu bar...
