I was excited to give it a try, after seeing the iOSDevWeekly 2024-02-17 writeup.
Came here to upvote but requiring macOS 14 or later rules JuxtaCode out for me for quite a while.
If it's technically feasible, consider that wanting a fast native compare is something people with older Macs appreciate even more.
I have my m1 Air currently on Ventura, with no great motivation to move up to...

I've watched @mat_sherman's unrelenting hustle since I met him back on Pioneer. Glad to see a real alternative being offered for funding and his refusal to give in is paying off!

Love the sound of the model. For some people, "anonymous" is a bit of a trigger word but it's appropriate in the limited context here. I'd try labelling it as "discreet" rather than "anonymous" listing because that's what you're aiming for.

I'm going to have to think very hard about my next Screenflow annual renewal. That's been my main video editing product for years but this pops with a new level of fun & usability.

I'm a big fan of Ann-Laure and the community. My only regret is I don't have enough time to engage with them!

At a quick glance, it reminded me of https://www.gather.town/ which I have been in a couple of times. But, the video on that platform is distracting. As soon as a platform offers video, you get the feeling that people judge you for turning video OFF. If they have video but no zoom-like background replacement, your messy room is suddenly revealed to all.
So, I applaud your focus on audio. As a...

I use an inverted wire basket as a laptop stand. Cost me nothing and keeps my Macbook high enough there's great circulation underneath - I have one old mid-2014 model that's driving two external monitors, so the fan goes on sometimes.
I'm in Perth, Western Australia and don't have AC on in the office most of the time, unless it hits 32C inside.
How do you keep your laptop cool during Summer?

The product looks amazing & the demo is slick. An extra proof of your attention to design detail is the effort that's gone into your blog, making it attractive to read. It's inspirational and reassuring to see a PH launch where the solid technical background is real, in a world of concierged landing pages and vapourish claims.

I'm cautious and somewhat contrary. A terrifying proportion of people talking about NFTs seem to not understand that an NFT is two or three components -
1. a blockchain entry,
2. a separate piece of metadata (often a JSON file) and then
3. a digital good or sometimes real-world event/good.
With the loss of 2., the blockchain entry is probably meaningless. That has already happened many...

I have utterly no idea what you mean by "uses NFTs as awesome background videos for the tunes".
Do you mean using videos which are associated with an NFT?
How do you have the right to those videos? Does your use of them actually have anything to do with the NFT?
Very confused here but always willing to be educated.

It sounds a lot like a cross-platform version of https://kapeli.com/dash - would be useful to see a comparison. (Note there's a 3rd party Dash-compatible product https://velocity.silverlakesoftware.com/ too).
If you have added features over Dash might be worth being compatible with their docset format.

Why remove watermarks? You reduce your chances of partnership with stock video companies if you release with this feature. If you leave this feature in, it seems like you're basically selling a tool to pirate other people's work.
Other than that, looks brilliant as a technical achievement.

Firstly, huge respect for the author - I'm a tools and visualisation nerd who's been around from the earliest days of OO. I appreciate the amount of work that goes into the deep parsing as well as visuals of this tool.
I'm a bit irritated by the claim of lack of theory, as I just tweeted. The author takes a shot at the dumb old McCabe complexity but fails to mention the massive amount of work...
