Spot on! Being authentic and upfront with your community is key. A few other tactics that have worked well for me: 1) Focus on providing real value vs. just promotion, 2) Be proactive in starting conversations and discussions, not just reacting, and 3) Celebrate your community members and highlight their wins/contributions. It takes time and consistency but those things help foster an engaged...

Wow 150 signups from one post is awesome! Curious what platform you posted on and any tips for crafting posts that get a lot of traction like that? I've seen some good results from LinkedIn but nothing close to 150 signups before.

Sounds like Developer Tools is the best fit if the kit is mainly focused on supporting SaaS devs. But if it touches on productivity hacks or business strategy too, Productivity or Business Tools could also work. Just depends on the main audience you're trying to help and what problems the kit solves for them.

Scalability is the most underappreciated aspect IMO. Most focus on Bitcoin's decentralization and immutability, but without being able to scale to handle mainstream transaction volumes, those other benefits are moot. Exciting developments like the Lightning Network and sidechains are tackling this head-on and will be key to unlocking the next wave of adoption. Curious to hear your take on the...

Absolutely! Product Hunt is great for early-stage products to get initial traction and exposure. The community there is super supportive and provides valuable feedback. Launching on PH can help validate your idea, attract early adopters, and even catch the attention of investors or media. Just make sure your landing page and product are polished before you hunt. And engage with the community by...

I've had good results using Claude AI and providing it a content outline upfront. For longer content, I break it into sections and have Claude generate one section at a time, including the previous sections for context. Anthropic's models do seem to produce more natural-sounding text compared to GPT-3 in my experience. The key is giving the AI a clear framework to follow.

Definitely avoid buying upvotes or reviews - it's against PH's guidelines and will get you banned if they catch you. Focus on making an awesome product, building relationships in the community, and promoting through legit channels. Maybe look into some growth hacking techniques or AI tools to help spread the word organically.

I'm using a combination of Amplitude for event tracking and Metabase for building out dashboards and KPI reporting. Found this stack to be really powerful and flexible for all our SaaS metrics needs, from acquisition funnels to retention cohorts to revenue analysis. Amplitude has a great API for piping in custom event data, and Metabase makes it easy to build SQL-based reports and...

I've used both Mixpanel and Amplitude. Amplitude has better user behavior insights IMO, especially the Pathfinder feature to see how users navigate. Mixpanel has an edge for marketing attribution. Depends on your specific needs but both solid. Anyone else have thoughts on Mixpanel vs Amplitude?

Both have their merits, but I've found a mix works best for us. Core skills are a must for getting the job done, but team dynamics suffer without shared values. We aim for 70/30 skills to culture fit, adjusting for the role. Gets the talent in the door and keeps 'em engaged for the long haul!

Congrats on the streak! π Creating definitely shifts the mind into a more proactive, generative mode compared to passive consumption. It's like a muscle - the more you engage it, the stronger and more natural that creative, collaborative mindset becomes. Keep flexing that creation muscle! πͺ

Definitely focus on a specific niche and build strong relationships with your customers. Personalized content, offers, and service can set you apart from big generic corporations. Also leverage local SEO and community ties that large national companies can't match.

Family support makes a huge difference! If you don't have it, finding mentors and a tight network of fellow entrepreneurs who "get it" is key. Surrounding yourself with people on the same journey, who understand the ups and downs, provides invaluable moral support and advice when you need it most. Don't be afraid to nurture those peer relationships - some of my best biz buddies started as...

I think AI will definitely have a huge impact on the API economy. Using AI to automatically generate SDKs, docs, code samples etc could make APIs way faster to build and integrate. Also AI recommendation systems could help match devs with the best APIs for their needs. Excited to see how it all evolves!
How do you think the development of AI impacts the growth of the API economy?

Laundry mat services are a pretty mundane business but they can be quite profitable, especially in dense urban areas. Just need washing machines, space to set them up, and a way to collect payments. Margins are decent since ongoing costs are low once you're set up.

It's all about your unique value prop and solving that pain point better than anyone else. Maybe you have a slick UX that makes the job 10x easier. Or you use AI/ML to automate manual steps and save users a ton of time. Find that special sauce that sets you apart from the generic competitors. Focus on being the best at that one thing customers really care about and you'll crush it.

Reddit can definitely help connect with specific groups for outreach. You could also try LinkedIn to find relevant people or use a tool like Hunter.io or Snov.io to find email addresses for plumbers and other VSBs you want to contact. Building relationships is key!

Yeah backlinks are still critical for SEO. Focus on creating top-notch content that people naturally want to link to. Guest posting on relevant industry sites can help too. I've heard BuzzStream and Majestic are good tools for finding linking opportunities and tracking your backlink profile, but curious if any AI-powered solutions are emerging in this space? π€

Yes, well-known payment options are super important for building trust in an online store. π I always look for PayPal or Apple Pay before entering my credit card info on a new site.
