Clop optimises screenshots as soon as you copy them, so you can send up to 10x smaller images. Same with videos: save your screen recordings on the Desktop, and have them optimised for upload in seconds. It even works on PDFs!

As an app developer having to respond to support emails daily, sending screenshots and recordings became a large part of my work. And I got tired pretty soon of waiting for uploads to never finish and attachments to be "Too Large" 😅

Hi there! I'm the developer of Lunar (https://lunar.fyi/), a macOS app for controlling every aspect of your monitors.
Gamma Dimmer is my attempt at creating a cheaper alternative to Lunar for people that only need simple brightness dimming and don't want to deal with incompatibilities or DDC issues.
While it's only a software dimming, it borrows technologies developed in Lunar to dim...

Here at "The low-tech guys" we have a lot of smart devices, some with HomeKit support, some need shouting at Alexa and some.. uncontrollable by ordinary means. They either have their own half-baked app (you know them 😒), or an IR remote (oh boy.. 🙃) or even require you to touch them or press buttons on them with your human fingers 👆(faints. 😑)

Having to screen share a lot on Zoom, those floating controls turned from useful to very much annoying as I can't click on browser or text editor tabs behind them.
Hiding them doesn't help as a single Esc key press brings them back. And I have to press Esc a lot as a software developer.
So I'm sharing ZoomHider with you: a macOS app that can hide those Zoom floating controls for...

If you got a new monitor for your Mac, you noticed there's no way to control its brightness from the Mac.
Lunar brings back brightness control for monitors, along with volume, contrast, input switching and can even turn off monitors or the built-in display.

Hi everyone! I'm Alin, the creator of 🌕 Lunar, an app for controlling every aspect of your 🖥 external monitors.
1 year ago I quit my well paid job and began investing my time into making a living off Lunar. I'm now making half of the salary from that 💸 "well-paid job" solely from Lunar sales.
That has allowed me to work on Lunar full time, while also creating other Mac apps on...

This is a free macOS app that hides the macOS recording indicator (a.k.a. the orange dot) from the corner of your screen, so you can project your screen without annoyances.

In macOS Monterey, Apple decided to show a non-hideable orange dot in the corner of the screen when an app is using the microphone. Good for privacy, bad for projecting visuals from your Mac.
Why would you want to hide the orange dot?
The idea came from this article: https://cdm.link/2021/12/apple-added-an-orange-dot-thats-a-showstopper-for-live-visuals-and-it-needs-a-fix/

Working intensively on a Mac and having to switch apps often in the old fashion is really time consuming and gets annoying fast.
Command-Tab, Mission Control (Exposé), the Dock.. all feel to slow when you have more than 3 apps on the same display.
Our solution to this problem is to make use of the neglected |Right Command ⌘| key which we call rcmd (the one that's on the right side of the...

Hi everyone! (and M1 users)
Lunar 4 is here and it finally works on M1 Macs! You can control any monitor's brightness and contrast from any Mac device.
You can also control the volume and switch the input of the monitor from Intel Macs (or M1 Macs using a Raspberry Pi controller).
It also brings a lot of improvements over Lunar 3:

A simple idea with wonderful execution!
I've been using Liftoff (https://github.com/postlight/liftoff) with Airtable as a DIY solution for this and while it's been easy to set it up and deploy it on Netlify, I still had to resort to writing a custom watch for changes daemon and forking the repo for adjusting the components layout.
