Hey @thisissethsblog, we've exchanged an email or two before. Your book "The Dip" was hands-down one of the most impactful books I read while I was at a crossroads with my last company. Mostly, it just really hit home how important it is to think about how you use your time, and to make sure you're investing in the right uses of it.
I have a lot of friends that realize they're not making the...

Holy crap, I was using Google Maps for planning an upcoming road trip until I got an email about this. I feel like I just discovered fire.

Very cool to see this, there's a growing trend of tools (and people in general) treating work content as simply content, not the files (doc vs excel spreadsheet) they're encased in. Spaces.pm (which was acquired by Slack recently) seemed to be using a similar approach but I wasn't able to sign up. Either way, I think it's the future.
@btaylor I don't know if you've ever used Catch (similar...

@Ivannyc you should take a look at Hop. They tried to combine chat and email into one UI - it was a very different approach, but it might be of interest.

Other Alex cofounder (and Product Hunter #32 - OG) here - we actually just released a pretty big update with reminders: http://blog.fetchnotes.com/post/94065992378/reminders-are-here. Would love feedback from fellow Hunters!

So much is still in front of Uber - they have the opportunity to revolutionize so many things.
In the not too distant future, I imagine their API being almost "Deliver/moment as a service" — that any app could be built as a front-end on top of their infrastructure to move goods and people. I'm excited.

@lanewood - going to be honest, the "Confirm your contact" email Humin sent to my entire address book when I signed up felt like a total spam move. Perhaps I missed something, but it wasn't clear it was going to email all of my contacts. Moreover, no one *ever* wants to email everyone in their address book. I felt deceived as soon as I found out those emails went out.
I did like Humin as an...

I've done some research in this space and have a feeling this is going to be huge. There is MAJOR demand amongst teachers for better information tools - we've seen a non-trivial amount of teachers hacking Fetchnotes for educational purposes. It's never really been what we've optimized for but we constantly get emails from teachers (most high school teachers) trying to use it in the...

Been on the beta since I heard @danariely was involved (I took his Coursera course and love his work). This ties tightly into something I've been thinking about a lot in productivity — which currently siloed tools we have today like notes, email, tasks, calendaring, documents, etc. will remain siloes, and which ones will consolidate into something totally new (wrote about it at the end of this...

Interesting that Refresh mobile and Refresh desktop seem to reflect different value propositions. On the mobile app, it's all about my upcoming meetings and information on those people. On the web, it's all about looking people up.
@bhavinator, I think that probably makes sense. On the web, I'm usually in research mode looking people up, whereas on mobile, I usually want the quick-fire hits...

Congrats Jason! Looked at your PH profile and noticed you're user #33 - me and you are the Product Hunt OG :)
As for product feedback, I took a spin through and it was really well-executed. The only thing that weirded me out was being able to scroll up from the starting point on the home page, especially since it was all from before when I signed up. Is your goal for people to think of...

@jamasenr as someone who has spent a lot of time in this market, your key competitor isn't any of those companies. It's people not making to do lists :)
How do you feel about the privacy component? We actually explored the public task/notes route quite a bit at Fetchnotes but ultimately decided not to pursue it. Generally we found that while most tasks are benign, there are some that people...

There's some really interesting stuff in here.
I love the Mailbox-style deferral for reminders. It's something we're playing around with too. @Yanavlatchkova, just curious why you chose red for that swipe action? It makes it feel like I'm deleting something. The interactive tutorial is also exceptionally well done.
There was some stuff that really confused me though. For example, there...
