Hey all, thanks so much for the Product Hunt love. We started this company (www.thewavevr.com) about a year ago with the goal of re-imaging live concerts and connecting people in VR. As soon as we started building the first prototypes, we realized the things users wanted to do at VR shows were the things they couldn't do at real ones. So our design thinking has very much been about how to...

I was lucky enough to get into the beta and got happily addicted to gift giving. Exactly as @rrhoover mentioned, it encouraged me to give more, which was extremely powerful. Was also very impressed with the curation, and could see how machine learning could help this scale in brilliant ways. A+

Interesting. Takes kind of a cynical view of what a friendship is, but let's be honest, many friendships exist for optical or functional purposes- networking, wingmen, lonely people straight up glomming onto each other for comfort. Why not streamline and monetize the process?
I think you have a marketing problem; however. Don't use the word "friends", as it's an emotional term. Coupling that...

@kstalzer Great idea- can totally see the use case. Curious why you chose the expiration length you did. My friends have been slowly responding to my invites over the past few days, so most of them have missed the window to comment. So it's been hard to get conversations off the ground. Have you tested different lengths?
Also, what steps have you taken to minimize friction in the onboarding...

Very cool. First mobile app I've seen to really capture the essence of Ableton's session view- something I've always thought was user friendly enough for casual/non musicians. Are you targeting primarily curious non musicians or musicians on the go?

Love this app, but the current UX of using multiple keyboard apps is still really, really bad. Selecting/managing them entails a ton of friction and unintended selections.
These types of keyboard apps (bitmoji ftw) really reduce that app switching friction you experience with the slew of "creative utility apps" that are available. Still, the experience of enabling a new keyboard has so much...

Hey all, thanks for the kind words about Ditty 2.0. I work at Zya, maker of Ditty and other cool music tech apps. We're all musicians or music fans here, and believe tech should enable more people, regardless of their musical skill, to interact with music in fun ways.
Earlier this year we had the crazy idea to make this app, and realized we might be able to pull it off from the tech side using...
