I tried signing up before they (this week) changed their website and previously it was just set up as a (spam) "viral" marketing site; invite your friends and get a free box. It's improved a bit since, and I like the concept but I'm questionable about their nobility of teaching, based on the price (compared to buying a IOT board from any vendor) they are overpriced and they still don't tell you...

@ZackShapiro CF Palo Alto has been beta testing the app for the last few months. They now have 70+ members, a large part of the gym, in their private community. Currently seeing DAU% above 60%. Tim, coach and gym owner, loves it because it makes the gym & community stronger. There are definitely posts and interactions happening on Throwdown that wouldn't happen on existing other social...

Thanks @rrhoover, Initially we're going to focus on bringing existing communities, gyms, teams etc, onto the platform to give them a place where they can safely communicate with their peers; share thoughts, ideas, give each other support and advice.
