Spoke has just taken the right spin by moving onto the next level. Having started as a general transcription app, it specialized as a meeting summarizer, allowing live meetings to record only.
As of April 23, we see a massive relaunch as a multipurpose video transcription tool. Uploads are back and ChatGPT4 joined the app which is pretty awesome: now you can:
• record live Teams & Zoom meetings
• upload any video
• have it transscribed
• cut short video snippets by editing text
• export in many ways
• have GPT transform the text into anything desired
• publish to standalone websites, even embed.
Is there shadow? Of course …
Some features take decent time to move out of beta, but support is world classy and incredibly eager. What I'd wished to happen soon is to have more control over the baked-in subtitles, which are too small to read and have no styling options, a better looking formattig of the humongous chunks of text that drop out of the videos and OH MY GOD PLEASE send the standalone meeting launcher to hell. It depends there. Really. Why don't we get an app that opens and runs in ONE window? Btw. the menu item won't show up as promised …
Well … I give 4 stars because perfection shines through the cracks … go, Spoke, go … this road leads to a big one.
