This has been SUCH a helpful resource to me on my journey as a PM. I find myself recommending this to others in casual conversations all the time. The signal to noise ratio is extremely high. I feel like Lenny knows what questions I would want to ask the guest, and he does a great job summarizing ideas throughout every episode as the guest explains things, so you don't have to loop back through it 3x on your own.
Every episode has some amazing gem of product, or growth, or analytics wisdom. Those gems weeks, or months, worth of frustration, and save you from having to figure things out on your own through trial and error.
Good things that Lenny has done with the podcast :
- First and foremost, the line up consists of one the most well known and admired PM minds that I know of (and I guess most would agree to that)
- Depth of insights uncovered by asking most relevant questions (and followup questions as well which I think is the toughest part). Episodes are full of learnings and you can't really consider this as any other podcast. You do need a pen and a paper to retain and organise your take aways.
- Given the wide array of interviewees, there is something for everyone irrespective of you being in B2B, B2C space
- Perfectly paced and given this his first series, the final outcome is already of a very high quality (I'm comparing this with some other famous podcasts that have been around for a while)
My favorite product podcast. I can't believe how often the topics are exactly on point for our early stage startup. Great speakers, great interviews, well edited.
Lenny has been able to amass a magical, inspiring group of product leaders for his podcast. I've been an avid reader of each of his newsletters and I love how he's ensuring the content of his podcast doesn't repeat too much the concepts already shared. It's kind of like sharing a document ahead of time with someone and only focusing on going deep. He does with each guest. Loved the LNO framework with Shreyas and the hiring lieutenants method for hiring by Gokul. Too many great nuggets!
