You can have interesting basic conversations with Gliglish. On the other hand, it has way too many technical problems!
It often gives you false corrections, i.e. it constantly tells you to say "instead"... the exact same thing you just said! If you point out those mistakes a couple of times, Gliglish stops correcting you altogether.
Even if you say something like "let me try to form a few sentences with that new word/expression", Gliglish still does NOT understand that you need to say hypothetical sentences to consolidate your learning. It immediately asks you questions about whichever random example you just gave, as practice. You need to constantly keep breaking the flow of the conversation to explain "that was just an example", "I was just practising"...
Out of nowhere, things you did not say at all suddenly pop up in the middle of your lines! Stuff like "make sure you like this video", "subscribe to the channel", etc. It is BIZARRE!!! It makes me question how safe the platform is, if "crossed lines" come about so often.
The most annoying glitch of all is that Gliglish deletes many (really MANY) of the things you say, without acknowledging them at all. You spend a great deal of time and mental energy coming up with a reply and after you send it, it simply disappears! Then, Gliglish goes like "It sounds like you didn't give me an answer..." That is extremely frustrating! That was the final straw that made me discard the platform for good.
There is no customer service either. If you send some constructive and factual feedback about those technical problems to the email address indicated on the website, don't expect a response. Not even a mere "sorry for the inconvenience." No reply, no refund, just nothing. That's what you get, as a "valued customer".
Gliglish seems to be a one-person business. If you visit the its X page (actually, the page of its creator), it seems all his focus is put on having new languages added to it. No interest is shown in customer service, improving the product's quality, or resolving the countless technical issues. Gliglish is way too amateurish and simply not worth it. I'm ready to try other AI language learning platforms.
