DEV is awesome! The space is very welcoming, nobody is rude or unthoughtful like many other online platforms.
Writing content is super easy (so is scheduling posts, commenting, and all that), and the hard-working DEV team is great at keeping everything clean. I highly recommend it!
I don't have too much trouble with the layout design, but I think the other points could be enhanced.
Another useful feature could be to filter by subtags.
E.g: I'm on the Collaborators Wanted tag but I want to filter for a specific language.
