Using Desklamp has definitely assisted me in reading and making notes simultaneously, and reinvented my interactions with any reading material I encounter in the pdf format. Desklamp's user interface appears to be carefully curated so as to be simplistic in handling yet packed with indespensable quirks and features, the list of which has been increasing over the past updates rolled out by their team.
