Hi Product Hunt! 🎉 We’re excited to announce the release of our Wiki View! This new view is a knowledge sharing and content management platform that can enhance collaboration and connect you to a ton of valuable data. We wanted our users to be able to work with their content in multiple ways, so, on top of a Kanban board, calendar, mind-map, list, spreadsheet-like table, and hierarchy view, this update will allow you to use Zenkit to publish wiki sites with your existing data. Zenkit’s wiki view enables you to: ✨Organize and manage data in an entirely new way 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦Easily co-create and co-edit content with wiki members 🖇️Connect to and embed any items, files, or collections you have access to 🔍Navigate the wiki according to your preference with different field types 🎨Customize the landing page to suit your needs 📸Embed media from around the web So, if you’ve ever wanted to create, collaborate, and curate content all in one place, then Zenkit’s wiki view is for you! If you’d like to give it a try, you can sign up for a free Zenkit account today 👍If you’ve been with us for a while, tell us what you think! We’re excited to see what you’ll build and share with our wiki view! P.S. I'm doing a Product Hunt AMA this week! If you have any other questions you'd like to ask, send them here: https://www.producthunt.com/make...
Jessica Ludwig
Hey there, can we use all field types? Or are there restrictions?
Martin Welker
@jlu Great question, Jessica! The wiki is just a normal collection, so you can use all the same fields you normally would. Only one text field is used for the wiki article text (you can select which field in the view settings), and you can optionally show other fields like labels, members, and files, or meta fields like created by, created at, etc :)
We-Empower Inc.
A great add-on that could help a lot in our NGO, bravo !
Siobhan O'Rorke
@we_empower_inc That's so great to hear! We're glad Zenkit's been able to help your team.
Rostane Gribi
A very interesting feature to slowly switch from Evernote with a task manager.
Siobhan O'Rorke
@rostane_gribi Thanks so much Rostane! We're definitely planning to create more views/options for note taking like Evernote in the future too :)
Amy Z.
Is there a limit to the number of informations we put in ? Is it related to the number of items ? Thanks.
Siobhan O'Rorke
@amy_z_ Hey Amy, great question :) Since the wiki view is simply another view on an existing collection, the same limitations apply as for any other collection. One article = one item :)
Jonas Wi
Hey guys, thank you for releasing this. Can I make my wiki page public or do you need to be logged in to Zenkit to see it?
Siobhan O'Rorke
@jonas_wi Hey Jonas :) Both work! You can publish the wiki using the 'Published Collection' add-on, or just keep it private to use as an internal wiki :)
Marcel Gültig
This is a great addition to an already great product! I know of no other tool which is as flexible, powerful yet easy to use. Keep up the great work! We use Zenkit in our company for SCRUM-Process, Lead-Generation, Knowledge-Database (this is great with Wiki-View), and much more!
Siobhan O'Rorke
@marcel_gultig Thank you so much Marcel! It's great to hear all the different ways you use it 😍 It's great you're already able to make use of the wiki 🙌
MPresta
Getting there ! Zenkit is becoming more and more a great hub for managing tasks and references.
Siobhan O'Rorke
@mpresta Thank you so much! We're glad you like where Zenkit is headed :) We've got loads more coming in 2020!
Dennis Holtschoppen
Can I limit the access some of our users have to the wiki?
Siobhan O'Rorke
@denbolm Sure! If you have Zenkit Plus or higher, you can limit access via user roles (e.g. member, editor, commenter, guest).
Hugo PERCOT
Zenkit is one of the most convenient tool for my project
Martin Welker
@hugo_percot1 Thanks Hugo! 😊
Valentin Gibert
Zenkit makes my school project much easier. I advise you to try it
Froher Yosofy
@uhgvuerhvzruhr_uvhzuhruv Thank you so much, Valentin! We're still working on making Zenkit even easier - be prepared...
Oleg Gcod
It looks really interesting. Anyone knows what's the difference to Notion or Nuclino?
Martin Welker
@oleg_gcod Great question Oleg :) The main difference is the flexibility Zenkit offers - it's not just a wiki, but also a kanban board, calendar, mind map, table, to-do list, etc etc. The filter is also really powerful and makes it much easier to find exactly what you need.
bogdanmind
Love zenkit, replaced google doc and our CRM. Very friendly support
Martin Welker
@bogdanmind1 Thanks so much Bogdan! Glad you like it.
Алина Канаметова
We have been working with zenkit for 6 months already. Positive only feedbacks from everyone. At first was hard to readjust, but now it really made work smooth.
Martin Welker
@new_user_352cc18841 Thanks Alina! We're so glad to hear your team enjoys using Zenkit 😊 I hope you guys can make use of the wiki soon too!
Stefan Kimpel
We use Zenkit for task management in our office. Very simple, clear and with great features. Try it yourself. It's worth it!
Martin Welker
@stefan_kimpel Thank you Stefan! I'm so glad Zenkit's been able to help you! What do you think of the wiki view?
Danica Zyber
Great software for our order and work management. Clearly structured, great features and an integral part of our everyday work.
Martin Welker
@d_zy Thanks Danica! We're glad Zenkit is so important to your team! Have you tried the wiki view already?
Felix Marmann
This is awesome! What made you decide to make a wiki view?
Martin Welker
@felix_marmann2 Hey Felix! We were already using an alpha version of it for our Knowledge Base and had a lot of internal info sharing/onboarding collections. We figured that other people would want to be able to do the same, but in a more readable format :) Have you given it a go already?
Felix Marmann
Also I was wondering: Is it included in the free tier or do I have to upgrade my account to be able to use it?
Siobhan O'Rorke
@felix_marmann2 It's available in the free tier :)
Götz Müller
Zenkit has been very useful in organizing a multi weeks charity event among a virtual team of nearly twenty people with handling a significant bunch of tasks and activities.
Martin Welker
@gotz_muller We're so glad to hear that, Götz! Sounds like a great project! What's the event? Hopefully wiki can help you out too :)
Christoph Wessendorf
Great initiative! We have been waiting for a Wiki within Zenkit!!! Many thanks!
Martin Welker
@christoph_wessendorf Thank you Christoph!
