Know Zenhub? That friendly project management plugin for GitHub? Today, Zenhub is going from plugin to platform with Zenhub Issues — manage and track projects with non-dev teams, clients, and stakeholders without requiring a GitHub license!
Thanks for hunting us @hnshah!
Hello Product Hunt 👋
I’m Aaron, one of the co-founders at Zenhub. I’m excited to share what we’ve been working on 👇
Over the years, Zenhub has been loved by the GitHub developer community to help track issues and projects with its native integration with GitHub. Using a Chrome plug-in, developers stay close to their code base while managing projects, eliminating context-switching and data inaccuracy.
While this is great for the developer experience, it restricted collaboration with teams and stakeholders outside GitHub — design, IT, support, marketing, clients, etc. After all, software development is a team sport. These non-technical users needed a GitHub account just to collaborate and see an accurate status of projects and the roadmap. This resulted in different teams…in the same organization…use multiple tools…to manage the same project.
Complicated, right?
Zenhub Issues breaks these silos and consolidates project management tools 👊
Zenhub Issues is a brand new issue management experience in Zenhub. It brings everyone together on the same platform by giving non-dev users the right level of access without needing a GitHub account.
Zenhub Issues allow you to:
💰 Reduce unnecessary GitHub seats for non-dev users saving license costs.
🔒 Improve security by restricting access to your source code with permissions.
🤝 Give non-dev users a friendlier user experience with the Zenhub web app.
😻 Keep devs happy by not changing the way they work in GitHub.
This is our first step from being a project management plug-in for developers to becoming a robust platform where software teams can collaborate with internal and external teams and stakeholders, boosting productivity and making work more visible across the organization.
We're also excited to announce our $10M Series A funding today supporting our ‘plug-in to platform’ journey.
We look forward to your feedback and sincerely appreciate the support! We’ll be here all day to answer your questions 💬

Hey!
Well done on getting Zenhub Issues on the Product Hunt!
Congratulations on moving from a plugin to a stable platform on which ALL the team can work!
This will improve team and stakeholder collaboration, speed, and product quality!
Can I ask you something?
What are you planning to add in near future?
Good luck!
@ilyayaroshevichqa Thanks for the support Ilya—happy to hear that this will be a welcome improvement for your team!
With Zenhub Issues, we now have a great foundation that we can use to continue integrating into other products and places where software teams spend time. As you might expect, GitLab is on the top of our list as we're seeing more and more teams moving their workflows to GitLab and are big fans of the company!
@alan_hill Thanks for the support Alan!
GitHub Issues can be a really powerful source of truth when it comes to development projects, but we fully agree that not everyone on the team should need GitHub access in order to collaborate.
Let us know if you have any feedback on Zenhub Issues once your team gets hands on :)
