Zen Control is dedicated to promoting healthier phone usage through a reward-based system.
Unlike other tools that forcibly lock apps, we encourage users to earn entertainment time through positive activities like reading and exercise.
Are you experiencing these common struggles with your smartphone that we can't seem to live without:
1. Spending countless hours on social media apps, only to feel regret before bedtime;
2. Trying various self-discipline apps to set usage limits, but struggling to stick with them;
3. Wanting a gentler approach to gradually reduce phone dependency;
After a busy workday, we all need to unwind by using our phones, but it's crucial to find the right balance without letting it consume us.
Moreover, many apps on our phones can help us grow and improve - we should make the most of them.
With proper time management, we can achieve both learning and entertainment. Focus when it's time to study, enjoy when it's time to relax.
Phone time consumption has gone crazy in people's lives nowadays, especially for young generations, so this project completely makes sense!
Just to be sure I understood the functioning right, with Zen Control you unlock Social media and other entertaining app usage after completing positive activities (running, reading, etc), right?
If so, how do you deal with the fact that some people use social media apps as a working tool?

Zen Control categorizes the apps on your phone into two groups: Positive(encouraged) Apps and Restricted Apps. Initially, both categories are empty, and it’s up to you to classify the apps on your phone. You’ll use the time earned from Positive Apps to unlock time for using Restricted Apps. If a social app is used for work, it makes sense to classify it as a Positive App.
