There are >300m curators who've never made a dime off their influence. Yup allows them to earn from their engagement without changing their behavior. At scale, Yup provides clarity on what's socially valuable to each user and fixes incentives around social.

I'm a little bit afraid by the 57Mo of the Chrome extension. What is hidden in this extension to be so heavy ?
Simon Sovič
Great idea. I signed up! πŸ”₯

Sounds like a great idea. However, I am facing issues logging in to the extension. Post signup and approval I am getting the following error while logging in: 1. Email - not valid or 2. Email - not registered or 3. username or password incorrect any way to fix this?
Jake Tital
Awesome idea for a product!

This is awesome, and such an important innovation in creator and curator monetization. Congrats team!! πŸ™Œ

I've always been pretty good at finding the best creators before they became popular... so excited to see that I can get some sweet tokens for that with Yup πŸ’ΈπŸ’ΈπŸ’Έ

Any Safari extension planned?
Nir Kabessa
@atif_unaldi yes, coming soon!

I'm so excited to start using Yup! Love that you're spending the time thinking and building a platform that will be better for everyone: both creators and consumers. Congrats on the launch!

I wrote about Yup a year ago (https://www.dapp.com/article/mor...) and now it's good to see Yup is taking off πŸš€

This is such a great product! Reminds me of @steffondavis 's curalytics // recent book "the rise of the curator class changing everything" -- you two should meet @pinkhoodie !!

Sounds good… I just couldn't find anything about how much it pays. If I have to put in 1 hour of reviews just to get 2cents, it's not worth the time!

Yes! Thanks to crypto I've monetized my Twitter account better than mostβ€” glad to see this tool helping me out further (and others too)!

Hey PH! We're so excited to share Yup with the world. Thanks Chris for the hunt πŸ”₯ TL;DR - Yup pays you for likes/upvotes on top platforms (Twitter, YouTube, etc.) https://yup.io 🧐 The Problem We spend our days endlessly liking things, curating the web, but never get paid for it. Why? 😭 The creator economy has exploded over the last few years, but curators are still left empty handed. 🀲🏻 πŸ€‘ The Solution Enter Yup, the curator economy that rewards users for their likes. It tracks your influence and distributes money from a pool every day based on top likes πŸ‘πŸΏ You don't earn directly from your like but from the influential likes that come after you. It's kind of like betting with your clout on social media content πŸ’± Being early is important, being right is even better πŸ™ŒπŸ½ Sign up in 2 clicks with Twitter and immediately start earning. Then download the Yup Extension to manage your money and rate any site on the web 🌐 πŸ’Έ The Economy: Where does the money come from? While hard to believe, this is not a trick. Yup uses fancy cryptoeconomics to reward curators from a fresh supply of YUP tokens every day, instantly redeemable for cash. The demand for these tokens come from users and businesses looking to boost their influence or make big bets on specific content. When demand meets supply, the tokens are valuable and liquid. @pinkhoodie interesting project! Have you looked into Ethereum.world ? :)

Yup is a must-use product for anyone who lives part of their life online and wants to be rewarded monetarily for their opinions

Nir and team are on the verge of revolutionizing human incentives. This product is much needed and can’t wait to see how the platform evolves and grows.
Ioan Profiroiu
Hi, seems to empower people to create more engagement. Do the companies that got that engagement pay? Also, what are the requirements for monetizing your engagement, is everyone able to do it?
Nir Kabessa
@profiroiu_ioan Great questions! We certainly think it'll drive more engagement, but the companies won't have to pay directly. They can pay to increase exposure, and either earn or lose influence depending on engagement. Yes EVERYONE is able to do it, though not all engagement is equal in value. Yup provides a path for curators to establish influence without needing a brand or following, increasing the value of their engagement long-term
Tadeusz Szewczyk (Tad Chef)
Intriguing! I'd love for it to work. Yet as of now it looks to good to be true. There are some obvious questions: What are the privacy implications of this? I guess you have to track every single move of your users to ensure accuracy. Also I guess the money you can earn per like is negligible like with similar setups in the past?
Nir Kabessa
@onreact These are great questions, thanks for asking! The only data we need to track are likes, follows, and comments. The extension also knows what site you are on (in order to know when to trigger) but does so locally and doesn't store that data. We are open-sourcing the extension soon so people can see for themselves. In terms of money, we expect most active users to earn at least $20-50 / month for the next 2 months without doing more than engaging with social the way they do normally. But some users will and have earned a lot more. Similar to betting markets, there'll be big winners and losers.
Tadeusz Szewczyk (Tad Chef)
@onreact @pinkhoodie Thanks for the detailed feedback. I considered signing up but you effectively want to take over my Twitter account. Why do you need all these permissions: Follow and unfollow accounts for you. Update your profile and account settings. Post and delete Tweets for you, and engage with Tweets posted by others (Like, un-Like, or reply to a Tweet, Retweet, etc.) for you. Create, manage, and delete Lists and collections for you. Mute, block, and report accounts for you. Send Direct Messages for you and read, manage, and delete your Direct Messages.
Nir Kabessa
@onreact @pinkhoodie Thanks for the feedback. This shouldn't be the case and we will look into this immediately. Sometimes Twitter forces these permissions as part of sign up, but either way this is certainly not our intention. We'll attempt to fix this and get back to you. Thanks for almost signing up!
JaneManthorpe
@onreact @pinkhoodie same here. today I went to signup and all the permissions above were ask for. Not confident in accepting this.
Tadeusz Szewczyk (Tad Chef)
@onreact @pinkhoodie OK, it seems you fixed the permissions issues! Thank you! Sadly signing up via Twitter results in an error no matter what browser I use: "Failed to create your account".

Such an exciting innovation in the creator/curator space!
