YouTube Community — A new, simple way to engage with your viewers

Just saw the announcement and @sarahintampa wrote a piece on it on TechCrunch Released into Public Beta today. Community is a special release for us because it represents the deepest product collaboration we've ever done with creators like you. We started by inviting creators in early to develop, in partnership with us, the tools they wanted to better engage with their fans. These creators brought forward a diversity of backgrounds and content styles, from John & Hank Green, to AsapSCIENCE, The Game Theorists, Karmin, The Key of Awesome, The Kloons, Lilly Singh, Peter Hollens, Rosianna Halse Rojas, Sam Tsui, Threadbanger, and VSauce3. We are launching the Community beta today with these creators, but we look forward to bringing more of you onboard. This is a first step and, with creator and fan feedback, we look forward to rolling out new features and functions as well as including more creators in the months ahead.

Hot on the heels of Google Hangouts on Air becoming YouTube Live. :) Feels like another Google+ feature making the leap.

Very cool. Huge Youtubers like Pewdiepie end up having to manage their own websites, I bet this'll cut down on the need for that for most people.

I think it looks great. Questions: will community updates only show up in the community tab, or will there be a feed for them on the homepage? Also, when is it coming out of beta?

This is awesome, I'm glad YouTube is pushing hard for content creators and giving them new ways to engage.

Not sure what this website is but hey! Just started a youtube channel pretty recently so I guess this community just popped up some how!
