Hi Product Hunt 👋 A year ago, we launched Maekersuite as a pre-production tool for video creators. Over time, we noticed that, beyond just the effort of creating the videos themselves, users were struggling to consistently generate new and creative video ideas. Today, we’re launching the first version of our Video Content Explorer, a predictive discovery tool to help founders and creators generate an endless stream of video ideas, based on videos that are already trending. Simply input a few keywords and our Video Content Explorer goes to work, analyzing thousands of trending videos in your niche to discover the exact elements that make them successful—views, length, keyword-title-content match, and more. Metrics from the top videos are then extracted and presented in a dashboard, detailing relevance, views and breakdown of each topic. But our Content Explorer delivers more than just topics based on your initial keywords—it also detects adjacent topics that might interest your users and suggests those, helping you scale beyond your initial reach. Modeled on Youtube: Maekersuite's data is modeled after Youtube's Recommended Videos algorithm. It analyzes thousands of videos across numerous niche clusters and uses a proprietary formula to extract video ideas with the highest potential to convert your audience. Specific to your niche: Using keywords and prompts from you, Maekersuite runs a real-time analysis of your industry, assessing thousands of videos to determine the best video length, title wording and hooks that are most likely to convert your audience. Designed to grow: Combining data modeling and your curation, Maekersuite is able to generate not only topics your current audience will enjoy, but also adjacent topics that can help you scale beyond your existing reach. We have a generous free tier, so try it out for yourself! Our new homepage: www.maekersuite.com

Congrats! This looks exciting. I can't wait to try it out!

Love it! Is there a plan to introduce a collaborative feature for team projects?
Philip Werner
@segun1el Yes, definitely. So we know that most people create together. Especially at a later stage when the product is more and more mature we want to offer the whole suite of tools to teams in agencies or businesses that on a daily basis need to stay up to speed and in the know about what is happening around them. So yes, there is going to be collaboration in the future.

Great idea, congrats on the launch!
Philip Werner
@aleksejvu Thanks for the support. Happy to receive any feedback regarding the product. Good or bad. ;-) It's time to listen and iterate.

Congrats on the launch, Stephanie! 🚀 This is such a cool way to use the YouTube algorithm to your advantage. My team and I at Videodeck work with several clients at once, so a tool that can give us ideas so fast is super welcome. I see Video Content Explorer can also help generate scripts for the video ideas you choose. How do those look? Do you get a rough outline with bullet points or an entire script with paragraphs? Can you get any guidance on structuring the scripts, like intros, main content, and conclusions?
Felix Quinque
@heleana Hi Heleana, Currently the script generation is not yet attached to the content explorer, but we will be releasing a feature that will be able to provide the optimal outline for a script or alternatively the whole script (ready for human review) in the coming weeks. This will then also consider additional data points that are currently already being gathered but not shown to our users (e.g. where in the existing videos people drop off, what sections are most watched, what topics are most relevant across popular creators etc.). Also if you would be available for a zoom call to tell us a bit more about what your wishlist for your "optimal preproduction tool" would be I would love to have a chat (and also would be more than happy to compensate you for your time of course)!:) Feel free to shoot me a message at felix.quinque@maekersuite.com!

The Content Explorer offers the perfect balance between simplicity and depth in data analysis

How much Data can I actually get about the people watching the content of my competitors?
Philip Werner
@anais_rml so we are mapping interests of what people are watching. So what is Person A who is interested in Topic A also interested in? This allows us to help you build a better understanding of your audience. We do not collect any personalized data about any of the viewers.
Felix Quinque
@anais_rml The way in which we get the data is by exploring a general group's watching behaviour. For now we are not focusing on your youtube channel in particular, but let you search based on keywords that are relevant to you. So for instance here https://imgur.com/a/LRc2auA we have an exploration about the best microphones for youtube/podcasting, and what we find is that the most relevant videos for your audience are (unsurprisingly) on the best home setup, but that talking about how to get started with a podcast is something that your audience also really wants to know more about which might not be so obvious if your goal is to sell microphones!:)
Antonia Roth
Looks like it could save countless hours on research. Interesting. Curious though, how often is the data updated?
Philip Werner
@antonia_roth - Excited, that you like it. When doing test with our Beta users we have found that Maekersuite is able to reduce the time to do research from hours to literally minutes. The data is updated for each one of your explorations - so it takes a snapshot that moment in time.
Felix Quinque
@antonia_roth You can create a new exploration (which will update your data) however often you want. Usually it's sufficient to do it roughly once per week, but if you like you can update it once a day or more!

This tool is like Ahrefs for video strategy! Actually works great even for any kind of content research, because it saves you tons of time sifting through competitor content.
Philip Werner
@vawrom This was the intention from the beginning. Building the platform for all your video pre-production and communication needs. We have found that marketers and creators often use many different tools to do their research but then also save all their notes, research and data in a different place, before they eventually start creating a content plan, a storyline or a script in yet another tool. Maekersuite is consolidating this mess and completely streamlining the process for the user using AI to make sense of the data but also creating the content.
Julian Eichiner
This makes content research a breeze! Plus, I love how it works seamlessly with other features on the platform like the Script Editor. Question though, will it in the future also include data from platforms outside of YouTube?
Felix Quinque
@julian_eichiner Hi Julian, in the near future it will continue being a youtube-only tool, but we are planning to expand to additional data sources in the medium term future! What for platforms would you be interested in having added?
Daniel Green
Wow... this tool has genuinely made my life so much easier already. Can't wait to continue using it on all my projects.
Felix Quinque
@daniel_green5 Thanks so much for using our tool!
Wladimir Tissen
Can we have a feature to track the performance of specific competitors?
Davide Vago
@wladimir_tissen it is early stage to say, we are looking into evolve the product to provide as much value as possible to our users. "Competitor" analysis or Channel based insights it's something we'll consider.

@nicolas_albert Thanks Nicolas, hope you ll become an avid user!!! 🚀
Julius Wenzel
The level of detailed data I get is unmatched to other similar tools. Is there any chance that you will also provide data on user engagement like comments and shares?
Philip Werner
@julius_wenzel we already provide information about shares, but in the future we are going to go a lot deeper on a lot more parameters that define the success of a story told via video. So stay tuned.

This tool has made it so much easier for me to figure out where to begin with my videos, and to get going!!!
Pia Nürnberger
Can I save my search history to revisit my research?
Perry Steward
This is the content analysis tool the world needed. Could there be an option to analyze video performance by individual channels?
Felix Quinque
@perry_steward Hi Perry, thank you so much for the feedback! Currently that is not supported yet, but we will keep it in mind for our next product update in roughly 2 weeks, so make sure to check back then!
Gregor Tretter
Looks like this can make my content strategy more targeted and effective. Are there plans to include A/B testing features in the future?
