Hey PH fans! Series A is the first significant round of financing a startup would raise. Should I say it comes way harder than a seed? The investors are not just looking for an idea that has some potential or a decent team. You need to show the actual numbers! When fundraising, pitching to the right VC is crucial. This data should help you to get to know the investment scene in the US. If you are a startup, I'd really recommend checking this out before preparing any strategy. Good job!

My take on this report is that it is not deep enough and instead goes for the highlights, the headlines, the outliers. Series A seeking entrepreneurs can easily find the biggest funds, the biggest raises...but these are outliers! Everyone has heard of a16z, and less than 1% of entrepreneurs will raise a 9 figure series A. What about the smaller funds that are doing great things, what are their criteria and deal sizes? What is the Mean and Median of Series A activity. Which funds are most active at the Mean and Median?
