Yobo is a retail assistant device capable of performing a growing list of sales and customer service tasks in physical stores & places of business. E.g. "Where do you keep the Japanese Mayo?"

We've all experienced being lost in a store, searching for a specific item, and hoping for a staff member to help us. The North American retail sector invests $150 billion annually on staff, yet fundamental issues persist: understaffing, customers struggling to locate items or prices, and language barriers, among others.
We built Yobo to address these challenges. Our mission is to turn humans into superhumans using Artificial Intelligence, enabling one worker to do the job of 10 or 100 workers and do them well.
Some of the skills we’ve developed for Yobo include:
❓ Inquiry: Instantly provides detailed information on products and services, including inventory, locations, and price. (e.g. "Where do you keep the Japanese Mayo?”)
Problem: Stores are always understaffed with poorly trained, minimum-wage employees who don’t want to be there.
👁️ Proactive: Detects visitors using built-in camera and promotes campaigns
(e.g. “Welcome! We’ve got a new winter exhibition going on. Would you like to hear more about it?”)
Problem: Minimum wage customer service workers are not motivated enough to continuously promote campaigns to every single visitor with enthusiasm. This is because humans prefer unique interactions more than repetitive ones.
⬆️ Escalation: Relays messages or connects with human assistance as needed. (e.g. "Can you contact a human to come help me?")
Problem: Sometimes customers prefer talking to actual humans instead of bots.
🗣️ Polyglot: Fluent in over 10 languages.
(e.g. English, French, Mandarin, Hindi and more)
Problem: Most customer service agents do not speak multiple languages and if possible, humans prefer to communicate in their mother tongue.
👌 Recommendation: Tailors suggestions based on preferences.
(e.g. “Can you recommend a birthday gift for a 10 year old boy from here? Something under 100 dollars that encourages him to be social”)
Problem: Human memory is unreliable especially when it comes to large inventories and product lines.

(e.g. “We usually have new exhibitions every month, would you like to stay in touch?”)
Problem: Engaging customers to share their contact information for marketing purposes willingly is challenging, as staff often miss the opportunity or lack the skills to do so without seeming intrusive.
☁️ Omni Channel: Yobo is accessible via a QR scan on any smartphone, no app download is needed.
Problem: Customers looking for privacy may not feel comfortable asking store staff about products they are looking for. Also, additional Yobo devices and/or extra staff to support all customers can be prohibitively expensive.
👩🏫 Coachable: Quick corpus setup by integrating with your current apps, databases, and website. (e.g.“Let me check our inventory to see if we have any more Japanese Mayo left in stock.)
Problem: People and organizations who run retail stores are usually not technical and require simple, quick and intuitive ways to train Yobo.
