More things like this need to happen. Same way there need to be better introductions to engineering and computer programming. (Says a dad of a 14 yo girl.)

Ahhh, let's stop using "leaky pipeline" when marketing or posturing to women. I hate seeing the pink-slathered learning toys for girls. I'd rather have gender-neutral products available, but at least there will be a better option on the market soon. Their website doesn't do justice to the product itself, and I didn't see anything on the Kickstarter about retail plans post-campaign. The lowest level non-PDXers can receive a kit for is $50, but there are many, many children and households that couldn't afford that pricing. I wonder if they plan to subsidize for lower income families. Regardless, really cool to see stuff like this.
