We've been hard at work building out features and implementing feedback since our last launch on Product Hunt. You all asked for a number of things and we are super excited that we, well, built basically all of them!
🖥️ Brand new desktop experience optimized for speed and efficiency
#️⃣ Group messaging lets you create channels for standups or projects
💪 Slack integration that notifies you of new messages and pulls in the transcript
🔗 Send public links to screenshares or voice messages to folks outside of Yac
There's so much more in the pipeline but we launched before with a desktop app that was definitely subpar, a weak single player experience (the public links feature is so cool), and no integration into Slack or ability to create groups.

This is amazing! Meetings disrupt my workflow & productivity, with a tool like this I would be able to have fast, meaningful communication with my team while getting work done. Gonna convince my team to sign up!
@akaushik759 my fav part is the cheetah. Jellyfish are the most efficient but they doesn’t exactly scream “fast” so we made due. Shoutout to @emilio for the cool vid!
Awesome! Strongly believe that blending the communications seamlessly in workflow and being able to search thorough verbal and non-verbal communications quickly are really the key to productive workday. Kudos to the team. Excited for the launch!

Amazing UI and UX, very easy to use, works really smooth and yeah now it got even better with more features. Looks like I am going to forget zoom very soon.
I’ve been so deeply impressed with what @jmitch and the Yac team have built. @plightbo and I use it on our team to keep us connected without ending up on long video calls for chats that should really only be a few minutes. It’s a huge timesaver for us. Can’t wait to try 2.0 out!
The WFH culture needs this kind of product.
Zoom / video is fatiguing and too high bandwidth (emotionally and physically) for many needs. Our team resorts to quick phone calls, which work great, but the synchronous nature often leads to a 3 minute call eating up 20-30 minutes as we start talking about other topics. Sometimes that's a nice break, but many times it's just a distraction.
Yac is great because it gives us the right bandwidth to get complex ideas across, without the distractions of synchronous comms. The biggest challenge we have is internal: we need to change our own behaviors to not resort to Zoom or phone calls for every little interaction. And we're getting there!
