Hello again PHers! WriteMapper is a content writing app (macOS and Windows) that helps you create medium- to long-form content. It uses mind maps to give you a zoomed-out bird's eye view of your work, and structure it with ease. You can also zoom in to any node on the mind map, and detail its contents. The app's features all come together to create a supercharged content writing workflow, helping you turn your ideas into a final draft in no time. The new Version 4 I'm sharing today has a number of new features: ✨ Ask AI - Leverage OpenAI to brainstorm ideas and generate content. ✅ Better Performance - Optimized and ready for (very) large WriteMaps. 👀 New Views & Layouts - Various visual layouts for your mind map. 📄 Document View - View and edit the full document. 🔎 Better Quick Search - Searches through contents of all nodes. 🎉 New Animations - Smoother transitions between app state. 🌈 New Colors - More colors make for more delight! 📒 And more - https://writemapper.com/whats-new/ I would love for you to download the free trial and let me know what you think about it as a content writing tool. Last but not least — Product Hunt has been one of the most supportive communities that's helped me persist with working on WriteMapper as a solo developer. As a small gesture of appreciation to thank those of you who've supported WriteMapper in its previous PH launches: - For you guys who've purchased WM1 in the past, you get a free upgrade to WM4 (they're in your License Manager). - For you guys who've purchased WM2 or WM3 in the past, you get 50% off WM4 (please see the License Manager to get access). - And if you're purchasing WriteMapper now for the first time, you'll enjoy this upgrade pricing for future version launches too! Thanks for your time, and have a fantastic day! ✌️

Thanks! I sure hope it does — my big aspiration for WriteMapper is for it to help people write way more, produce way higher quality work, and all in way less time! 🎉

This is awesome Guan! I do a ton of content writing for my app, and this seems really useful! I would be especially interested in the mind mapping feature. I write long posts / guides sometimes and for those, I really need to organize my thoughts. Some ideas for content writing: maybe you can start a newsletter on how we can write better, more engaging content or maybe thoughts posts on distribution (how we can make stories we write more shareable) or tech/seo side. thoughts? congrats on your launch!

Thanks for the well wishes! Writing long-form blog posts is one of the things the app excels at helping at, so I think you might benefit from giving the free trial a spin to find out if it's something that can help you. Essentially the content writing workflow will be (1) Start with ideas → (2) Create your mind map outline → (3) Write bullet points and details → (4) Export and finish. And the app has features for each step of the way to aid in helping improve writing productivity. On content ideas - those are all good starting points. Maybe it's my personality but I also feel the need to sit down some time and craft a content marketing strategy so I can convince myself to put effort into it, ha. I see Typogram has a blog - has that been working well for you guys? How do you come up with what to write about? And btw, Typogram looks AMAZING. Like, wow! Great job you guys!!

@gx Guan, thanks so much for nice words about Typogram and the blog! will definitely check out WriteMapper! the mind mapping feature sounds super useful. As for the blog - it does work! bringing about 3K traffic / month. however it takes time to grow / for seo to kick in. we mostly find out idea by researching what people (our potential users, non beginners) are interested in (asking) through quora and reddit. Basically I want to go to those forums, and if people are asking a question in my niche, I wanna be able to explain, and drop a link - that's pretty much my strategy XD SEO keyword search can be a really good place to start to craft writing topics! I think it can help your overall strategy, and I feel like your users would be interested in that too - maybe you can share your SEO learnings via blog posts or something like that !

Thanks for the ideas and numbers Hua Shu! Link dropping and SEO sound viable. I guess I need to start content marketing soon. Will be reading up on ranking on Google as well as going through a content marketing course to prepare best as I can -- will hopefully be helpful..!

I noticed that WriteMapper 4 utilizes AI and mind maps to enhance the content writing process. Can you share more about how the AI feature works? I'm curious to know if it can suggest relevant keyword suggestions or provide grammar and style recommendations.

Thanks for the question! WriteMapper is a content writing tool, and the addition of AI in this version can be seen as a productivity aid throughout the writing process. In both the mind map view, content editor, or document view, you may trigger Ask AI within WriteMapper to leverage AI to help you: - Brainstorm ideas - Make writing longer/shorter - Write in another tone of voice - Generate content Basically, anything you could tell an AI to do. It's best to experience it for yourself - take the app for a spin and plug in an OpenAI API key, and try seeing what it can do! :)
@gx congrats on the launch! What is your go-to-market plan look like ahead of the launch?

Thank Bahar! I'm thinking about content marketing, but still learning about how best to approach it and developing a strategy. Do you think that's the right line of thinking I should be taking?
@gx Thumbs up all the way! Just upvoted and will share with friends. Let's also connect on here for ongoing support on your future launches.
