Hey Product Hunt! 👋🏼 Wrighter is a project that I've been wanting to make for a very long time, I've used almost all the popular markdown editors out there. They lacked the most important features that "I" needed the most. I wanted a distraction-free markdown editor on the web that is usable in any form factor. Most markdown editors are either too cluttered or too minimal(hard to find). There are only two extremes. I wanted an app that sits in the middle, it should be distraction-free while also having the ability to quickly provide all of the application's functionality with a few key taps. Here are some of its features: 📝 A modern WYSISWM markdown editor with GFM, math support 🔐 Optional signup, you can use wrighter standalone as an editor and an idea management tool, but none of the content leaves your browser, you can also optionally signup to sync your data 🧠 A idea management tool called "bites" which you can access anytime to organize chaotic thoughts of any form factor ⚡ Super fast command bar with which you can do almost anything inside wrighter with just a few keyboard taps ⌨️ Handy shortcuts! 🏷️ All your ideas and blogs/articles are tagged in a central tag management system, that you can modify anytime 🌏 Share your blogs/articles to others by making them public, with customizable SEO settings. 📦 Download & export your content anytime to publish to other platforms ... and much more features that make your technical/academic writing experience better 🤗 wrighter is entirely open source., you are welcome to contribute or self-host wrighter! you can read more about wrighter BTS on wrighter here 🤓 would love to get some feedback or feature improvements from y'all ♥️
