Finally, there’s one place to manage your work in the cloud. Our cloud desktop pulls together all your favorite apps, so you can create Google Docs, Asana Projects, Zoom Meetings, and hundreds more—right from Workona.
I live in Chrome, too, and Workona has become indispensable for me. It's just an amazing product that I can't imagine not having. The time it's saves me in terms of productivity is out the roof. Kudos to the Workona team and @qamorgan . @qamorgan - when are you going to implement the pricing structure?
@scottwwilliams What a compliment! We haven’t announced our timeline for monetization publicly yet. We will be implementing a number of premium features before we do. Glad to hear it’s saving you time!
I live in Chrome and Workona brings me sanity. The team has continued to deliver rapid improvements since day one and I'm always impressed by the new features. Today completely blows me away. Opening my browser to see my asana projects a click away and easy search on my Google Drive... wait GitHub too? All while not losing my place in this message??? Quick, responsive, polished. Truly incredible.
PLEASE, leave a good free plan. Always look for something similar and see potential. Nowadays I solve with getToby. I'm really enjoying it. Put specials features to Pro but leave this free plan for every one use! 🙌
@douglasevaristo Thanks for the feature request! For now we’re focusing on helping teams collaborate on work together, but we will likely implement the ability to share workspaces publicly down the road.
Hey @y_molodtsov, due to some unexpected hurdles, it took a little longer to release Firefox support. The good news is that it’s here! Please check it out and let me know what you think: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US...
Workona is my everything. Given that I'm in Chrome all day long & constantly having to switch between tabs, it's hard to believe I lived as long as I did without it. I switched over to it about 9-ish months ago from another similar svc (I've tried several, Workona being the best by far), and have been thrilled beyond words with how well it works to keep me focused and organized. The brilliant folks behind Workona are continually updating and improving it, even when you think it can't possibly get any better! Speaking of which, the team is made up of the nicest, most caring people who obviously thrive on delivering a fantastic product and experience to their users. Thank you, Workona - you're top shelf! ⭐️
@qamorgan Awww-that's awesome, Quinn! I'm so glad, and thank you for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful reply to my post🙏Cheers to you & the rest of the team for your outstanding work!🏆
I'm a fan! As an early beta tester who has been using Workona for quite a while now, I'm really excited about how it's evolving. The team really puts in the time to listen to users and it shows. If you spend time working in the browser, I'm confident that you will see a productivity boost by using Workona. It just makes it easier to keep everything together.
Hey Product Hunt!
Today, we’re delivering on our promise to build the missing desktop for the cloud. Workona’s cloud desktop brings together all of your work into one place. Apps help you move unbelievably fast, and workspaces keep your projects organized so you always have everything you need on hand.
WHAT’S NEW
⚡️ Workona apps
Your favorite cloud apps are now front and center. Without leaving Workona, you can access all of your documents or create something new. Create almost anything in Google Drive, Jira, Salesforce, Zendesk, Zoom, Airtable, Notion, Figma, Asana, and many other popular cloud apps.
🔍 Find and create bar
This isn’t your everyday search bar. You can filter to any app or create docs right from search. It’s not an exaggeration to say you can create anything in a cloud app as fast as your fingers can type.
WHAT’S IMPROVED
📁 Workspaces
Workspaces organize everything you need for a project, meeting, or workflow. Share with your team to give everyone a place to collaborate and drive work forward. With the addition of apps, you can now create docs directly in workspaces.
👥 Teams
Our entire collaboration experience has been redesigned to make working together seamless. Every team now gets a dedicated section in the sidebar that automatically shares workspaces.
😌 Tab management
Enable this feature to separate your tabs by workspace and increase your focus. Close workspaces with confidence, since you can always pick up where you left off—even on a different device. Plus, you can suspend inactive tabs to get work done even faster.
The new Workona solves the chaos of working in the browser, so you can focus on what matters. I’ll be around all day to answer your questions. We can’t wait to hear what you think!
@owenfar1 Thanks! We aimed to make the experience of organizing your work effortless and almost magical. Our search and tab management features have always required the history permission you see when you first add the app to your browser. Workona apps are now just giving you a more human-readable view of the resources you’ve accessed recently. Alma and I are very privacy-conscious ourselves and have spent our careers building software for the sole purpose of providing value to our users—we promise that won’t ever change. You can read more about our commitment to privacy at workona.com/privacy
@qamorgan Congrats Quinn, Workona looks great! How about an interview about it at StartupRadius.com? Send me a message to paul_AT_startupradius.com if interested.
I've been using this for a while now, and it's become the only thing holding me back from switching to Firefox. Updates have been coming in steady, good to see improvements actively being worked on!
I do really want to make the switch to firefox though - is support for that on the roadmap?
@amitavk I wanted to give you an update on Firefox support. It’s live and ready for you to check out! We really appreciate your patience and would love to hear what you think of the experience. You can add it here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US...
@eyalk100 Workona is perfect for keeping client projects organized and helping you focus on one client at a time. We’ve just released support for popular time tracking apps like Harvest to streamline your workflows even more.
Me gustó mucho, en el mismo browser ahora tengo un perfil para proyectos personales fuera de mi oficina, y otro con los tabs de mi trabajo fijo. muy bueno !
I don't want to be a hater, but there have been many attempts at this before: a lightweight switcher/organizer between chrome webviews. I have used most of them (Station, Rambox, Franz & Wavebox) and I like them for a couple months but then run into some quirk where the web application assumes it's running in a "proper" web browser and it starts to feel clunky. Keyboard shortcuts (being overridden by the "wrapper" app), general limitations of a webview vs desktop-built application (i.e. Slack's desktop app is required for video calls), etc. I end up debating with myself whether this is really adding value over a Chrome browser and now that Chrome has tab groups on the way, if feels like it solves most of the same problems that these wrapper apps are trying to solve.
@cydeswype1 It seems like you have assumed that we are a desktop app like those apps you mentioned. We considered that approach when we first started in 2017, but quickly decided not to pursue that path for exactly the reasons you brought up. None of those limitations apply to Workona's approach. Rather than forcing you to disrupt your existing workflows, we transform your browser into a professional work tool. In fact, we'll even automatically help you keep the memory the browser uses under control. You never know, we might just be the app you've been searching for.
Incredible product! You can see only necessary tabs for the current context. Switching between contexts is just one click. The team behind the product is just fantastic. New improvements are delivered almost every week.
Before Workona my browser was a mess with more than 40 open tabs related to classes I teach, projects underway, and my business. Now, with Workona, it's all organized and I only need to open the workspaces I am using. Using Workona has streamlined my work processes and let me offload a lot of information out of my brain and into the computer...where it belongs.
I hopped on the Workona bandwagon about 9 months ago. The team has released a landslide of updates over the past few months (new features, UI/UX improvements, etc.), each making Workona more effective, and all round easier and more enjoyable to use. Not a small feat given it was pretty awesome from the get go! These days Workona is getting better every single week… several times a week in fact! There's not a day I touch any of my computer where I'm not grateful for finding Workona! So I just wanted to say thank you, Quinn, for this amazing platform. Looking forward to a bright future for Team Workona.
@bluvase_inc_ You’re very welcome! Our team has been working very hard all year to get the new version out, but the updates will continue to come quickly from here on out. We still have a lot more in store.
i've been using it for some time now and it just brings me joy. the last few updates solved the biggest problems i had on the platform such as multi windows and now we have apps to use! this is aweasome. google chrome would be complete if only this was native on it. no other plugins required
Recently started using Workona and it is going to be a game changer- I can already tell. Great job Workona team and @qamorgan. Very, exciting stuff. BTW- the recent update... so cool.
@qamorgan when I initially posted that, I was just using Workona More as a bookmark system than it's actual use-case. now that I understand everything is capable of, my mind is actually blown. when I first posted here, I thought that it was a mild convenience which would make me more productive, now I see that it's a massive overhaul to my work flow that makes collaborating exponentially easier. It actually took a little while for me to wrap my head around everything it's capable of, I was excited just to think that it was an intricate bookmark system of sorts. This really is amazing, I couldn't imagine not having it now.
