IP Geolocation Data Feed is a massive database containing the IP geolocation data of 99.68% of all active IP addresses. It is available in CSV and JSON formats and can enrich marketing and cybersecurity systems with IP geolocation data.
I’ve been using the database for a while now, primarily their IPv4 geolocation data. But I’m seeing an increasing number of IPv6 users on my site, so it’s helpful to have an IP geolocation database with data about IPv6 addresses.
The sample file I downloaded from the vendor’s website looks ok. It had the basic geolocation data, including the coordinates. It also contained the type of connection that could help us optimize page load speed depending on the user’s Internet connection type. We’ll see.
