Whimsical AI for Mind Maps — Level up your mind maps with AI-powered suggestions

Hey everyone 👋 When we built Whimsical Mind Maps, our goal was to make it fast and easy to organize your thoughts. Recently, AI has been taking the world by storm. I’m sure you’ve already seen or created something amazing with just a single prompt. Who knows, perhaps I even had AI write this comment for me (I’ll let you be the judge of that). By bringing AI-powered suggestions into our Mind Maps, we want to make it possible for anyone to use this technology directly where it has already proven to be most valuable - during the early stages of ideation. If you’ve ever found yourself stuck on an idea or looking for answers to open questions, you’ve likely turned to a search engine or a colleague for inspiration. With Whimsical AI for Mind Maps, you can generate fresh ideas or conduct research without leaving the board or (more importantly) losing your train of thought. This is a public Beta release and an exciting first step in exploring how we can use AI to empower your workflows inside Whimsical. Try it out for yourself and let us know what you think! We’d also love to hear any other ideas you have for how we could apply AI to our products in the future.

This sounds really helpful! As someone who draws a lot when writing down ideas, this sounds a lot easier to use. I'm intrigued by the AI capabilities too, of course. Would love to give it a try. Congrats on the launch!

If you're a fan of Mind Maps (I am, I use it all the time whenever I feel stuck in a rut) this is the tool that will give you endless help. The suggestions are so diverse, I don't feel trapped within the range of AI suggestions and also I can add branches in free-form too allowing myself to be creative jumping off suggestions AI gives me. Great work done, @k7d

Whimsical is an outstanding project, even though we're still on Miro. I really like to see the right direction Whimsical. Good luck with the launch. Upvoted. 

LOVE Whimsical, and especially the Mind Maps tool. It's been fantastic for charting out our 'Resources' content, and I appreciate how intuitive and flexible it is. Can't wait to take the AI for a spin too.
