WhatsCook offers a straightforward solution for friends and families to plan their weekly menus and inspire AI-generated recipes. It was designed to be a powerful yet simple solution for meal planning and recipe management.
Hey Hunters ๐
As an IndieDev and new father, I have limited time for shopping and want to spend as much time with my family as possible. I only go shopping once a week, so I plan meals ahead and create a shopping list.
That's why I created whatscook.app ๐ฅ
With this app, you can:
- Plan your meals
- Collect your own recipes (by AI prompt, scanning, or manually)
- Mark recipes as cooked so you donโt forget your plan
- Use the Recipe Generator to get AI-inspired recipes with leftover ingredients
- Auto create shopping list from your meal plans
Would love to hear your feedback and hope that you'll check it out!
Thank you & Bon appรฉtit! โค๏ธ

I've actually been working on something similar (AI recipe generation) with a very different take. Mine focuses more around a problem similar to "What's in the fridge?", but I'm using it as a tool to create content for a content play, rather than an app. Would be keen to share learnings, if you like.
Hey @Ruuusch, this sounds exactly like what Iโve been needing! One quick thing though โ does it support meal plans for specific diets like vegan or keto? Congrats on the launch!
@ruuusch@danielharrison great! ๐
Currently the app starts empty, with no recipes loaded. You can add your own recipes by creating them or scanning them. In the future, I plan to offer some ready-made recipe collections to give you ideas.
Sounds like a super practical app, especially for busy folks! Just tried the meal planning and recipe generator, and it's really easy to use. Congrats on the launch,Ruuusch.
