The launch has also garnered some press, which also details the difficulties faced by companies who are most impacted by severe weather: "Up until now, industries and businesses most vulnerable to weather have encountered two significant obstacles when trying to train their AI models based on historical weather data. First, they've had to rely exclusively on traditional tools of the weather trade such as satellites, radar and weather stations. These standard data sources produce vague results. Often times the data that's used isn't accurately calibrated to a desired location. Second, the data that's generated is frequently too massive and complex to be of any practical value. As a result, users can't customize this information to their specific business needs. These two major issues have prevented businesses around the world from generating the actionable insights needed to stay one step ahead of Mother Nature, train their AI models, and better predict their future business outcomes." https://finance.yahoo.com/amphtm...

Thanks for dropping in to discover all about ClimaCell's WAI. I just recently discovered ClimaCell's hyper-accurate weather solutions and was so impressed that I had to share it with you. This is what ClimaCell has to say about WAI: WAI is one of ClimaCell's revolutionary solutions changing billions of lives worldwide by bringing highly accurate weather solutions to all populations. WAI is the only historical weather data archive that isn't base only on weather station observations. Using ClimaCell's unique data sources, this archive is based on a gridded reanalysis which provides accurate results for any location, parameter, resolution, and time period. For the purpose of this launch, we're also offering to try a sample of its historical archive for free by providing the First Week of December 2018 data set for download here - https://www.climacell.co/histori...

What are the use case?
Eyal Katz
Hunter
@iamvarunnair Several. Outdoor and large sporting events. Aviation - can better predict stuff like airport closures and reduce the amount of downtime due to bad weather if they can get pinpoint accuracy. Construction, especially roofing companies, can better protect their crew (and save money on the way). On demand economy - imagine Uber knowing when and where they need to have more drivers and cars on the roads and when and where they need to have less

@eyalk100 Wow!! It's really impressive that you have developed an interesting product, however, I would suggest working on the design and fonts for the website, the mock-up picture is much better than the actual website.

Weather questions ? every one has with so many kinds of reasons and different impact - starting from "should I celebrate my daughter birthday in/ out" and up until questions as assistance to countries with climate issue, operating the flight and so.

@danit_gad pretty much. I mean weather impacts everyone and, almost, everything. It's pretty much the world we live in. Now, providing a weather forecast that can be of value to a parent planning a birthday or an airport trying to reduce delays is no less than amazing

Looks like a very interesting product. I can think of so many usages it can be relevant for, like predicting demand, analysing weather disasters, pricing real estate, and so much more. Cool product!

@nati_levi1 Exactly. There are so many use cases. Even think about the new use cases for drones. One of the main set backs preventing drones from turning into a real viable delivery economy is that weather conditions can easily down drones (strong winds, rain, etc.). If you can train a drone company's AI to accurately predict weather conditions they can better launch and retrieve their drones, which will enable them to grow and bring on our drone overlords ;)

@iamvarunnair @eyalk100 Exactly - by using accurate historical weather results compared to your business historical performance, you can find true correlation between the two so you can predict weather's exact impact in the future. Restaurants can plan staffing, Retail will predict customer behavior... it can be helpful for every type of business.

Thank you @eyalk100 ! WAI, as mentioned, is the only historical weather data archive out there to provide accurate results for every location. Unlike other archives, this product uses millions of virtual sensor historical data, such as wireless signals, connected cars, and drones, to produce a global grid hyper-local reanalysis - the ultimate solution for training AI models! Hope you'll find this one helpful. Try out our free data set - https://www.climacell.co/histori...

@yarden_lapidot Exactly. It's great to see companies that actually try to make the world a better place especially when it comes to climate change.

This is great! I hope companies like Waze will pick this up to create better estimations for ETA as well as on-demand delivery services to make sure we don't need to wait 90 min. to get an order when rain starts.
Gal Dubinski
Good luck guys :)
