@nceruchalu I would have loved to have seen a preview example for the impatient of what the newsletter looks like, without going through the 'Try a demo' interface. I didn't want to switch contexts and have one sent to me via email just for that. Obviously a newsletter email is best seen in an email client, but some kind of peak of how it might look in a browser would have been good too.

@joostschuur @nceruchalu I agree, it would be awesome to show examples on the home page so you don't make the user go through extra effort to decide on whether to use your product or not :)
Noddy Eruchalu
@joostschuur Ah that's pretty good feedback. We will be sure to update our demo to do just that!
Noddy Eruchalu
@zainmanji @joostschuur this makes sense. We tried too hard to not make the homepage too long. But a couple more screenshots would only clarify things so we will be sure to update this!

Great design! do you have an API to integrate subscribers?
Noddy Eruchalu
@deambulando Thanks for the kind words! We do have an API to integrate subscribers. If you don't mind, could you reach out to me at noddy@volleyy.com so I can onboard you properly.

@nceruchalu looks interesting! i'm currently using curated.co but would like to give your product a try. i share curated content and also have a web version of previous newsletters on my site. are you planning on a feature that would allow me to store my weekly newsletters and offer a subscription module just like here: http://newsletter.ivanannikov.com/
Noddy Eruchalu
@iannikov Hi there we would for you to give us a try! We work great for curated content as we have support for embedding websites. We also store weekly newsletters (which you can choose to make public or not) and offer a subscription module. Here are some examples showcasing this: https://volleyy.com/avotography/ and https://volleyy.com/hello/. When you create an account you can find your own page at https://volleyy.com/:your-username/ :)

This is easily the best email product I've seen. As someone who has a small email list of my own, Volley seems extremely intuitive. The feature I like most is that Volley seems to create a dedicated page with all my past emails. I'd love to port all the data over to my old emails into Volley so that my history can be seen there... @nceruchalu would love to talk more...
Noddy Eruchalu
@jackbwheeler hey there. We can definitely make this happen. Let's chat more!

The demo seems very minimal when compared to something like iContact. Is that the goal or am I missing something? The idea sounds very good and the "Here's what you get" sounds nice but I was not impressed with the demo.
Noddy Eruchalu
@unseenvision hello Patrick. The demo is purposely minimal. We show you 1 thing from the collection listed in "here's what you get" to make it quick and easy. We picked social media embedding because we do it different than other platforms. But like others have mentioned our demo needs work and we will definitely improve it. Hopefully you were impressed with the features mentioned in the "here's what you get", and will give us a try!
Don The Idea Guy
@nceruchalu I requested a demo and it looked pretty good for featuring one random Instagram post, but your logo at the top was in a framed box with side and bottom scroll bars (at least that's how it displayed in Yahoo Mail). Probably not the look you were going for. ;)
Noddy Eruchalu
@dontheideaguy nice catch! yeah definitely missed that while testing on Yahoo, and we just fixed it. Thanks for alerting us to this :)
Preethi Rao
The product looks pretty simple and easy to use! Definitely more responsive than the others in the market. Will give it a try soon.
Noddy Eruchalu
@preethiprao We would be happy to have you as a user soon! And open to any and all feedback while you're trying it out!
Noddy Eruchalu
@leafbomb @preethiprao Thanks for clarifying this Osman. We will have to think up clearer wording than "without drag and drop". It is very easy to accidentally read that as "with..."
Don The Idea Guy
Not bad. Reminds me of a combination of TinyLetter and MC Snap. I gave it a try to create a couple custom pieces. It doesn't appear to bring in any images from a blog RSS feed (even the Featured Image), and my logo in the header has scroll bars around it even though I uploaded the suggested 200x200 image size. Pasting in links to embed social posts is really nice, but I wish I could resize embedded photos, or wrap text around them. Being able to format text for Center, Flush-Right, etc. would be nice. All-in-all, very very good. Simple to use. But needs some tweaks.
Noddy Eruchalu
@dontheideaguy thanks for the feedback! We've addressed the scrollbars on the header image. Was limited to yahoo mail and we sadly didn't catch that earlier. We will add more formatting features down the line like resizing photos, and changing content alignment. We just have to take things slow as every added function has to be tested across multiple email clients to uphold our promise of simplicity and consistency.
Stuti Bhadauria
Used it a couple of times. Worked fine until recently...the pages are taking forever to load and my browser keeps crashing because of this.
Noddy Eruchalu
@stuticlicks HI Stuti, you might have hit us in the middle of a deployment and I'm terribly sorry about that. We recently made changes to the interface to add features that should make your experience better and it sucks. Maybe try logging in again and let me know at noddy@volleyy.com if you still have issues.

Trying out Volleyy right now to notify our local subscribers of a Denver music event we're hosting.. feat 2 headliners: Sam Binga + Alix Perez.. maybe you've heard of them. :)
Noddy Eruchalu
@shoeboxdnb nice! I like your use of Facebook and Twitter embeds!
Michael Ramirez
@nceruchalu I've now put the volleyy opt-in form link up on my fb to see what the experience is like..
Noddy Eruchalu
@shoeboxdnb great. When you get a feel for the experience, let me know if you have any feedback you'd like to share. Always willing to chat :)
Michael Ramirez
It's been a couple of weeks since I sent my campaign and it's looking good. The results are about on par with our previous service (mailchimp). The only thing missing for me right now is the ability to create a copy of this campaign. I usually do this so I'm not starting from scratch everytime I want to send out an event reminder to our list.
Noddy Eruchalu
@shoeboxdnb Hi we are happy to hear the results were on par! We actually hope they go up over time as more readers find the emails easier to read! :) Regarding the ability to clone a note, that's undeniably a necessary feature. Just tossed that to the top of our feature list. We'll be sure to reach out once it's available!
Noddy Eruchalu
Thanks for the hunt @kwdinc Hello Product Hunt! We are excited to be here and share our story! We built Volleyy because we love email, and wanted to make email marketing easy for anyone to use. You shouldn't need a template or a consultant to help you get great emails out to your fans! So, we set out to make a tool to fix this - to make our newsletters to look great across all devices and email clients (even Outlook), and handle simple things like social post & video embeds. We will be actively answering any questions on here!
Cutter Johnston

Other newsletter providers try to be everything to everybody. Thus the complexity and difficulty of use rises along with it. NOT NECESSARY. Volleyy is straight forward and to the point. I do hope Volleyy will keep refining it's foundation rather that add useless functions for sake of gaining subscribers rather than just keeping the product the best newsletter publisher available.

Pros:

The simplicity and ease of use and the bare bones build of the product are tops on my list.

Cons:

A bit buggy when changing fonts from H1 to H2.

Michael Benson
Looks great! Is it possible to export your templates as HTML?
Noddy Eruchalu
@mike_benson Hi there. Glad you're giving our product a try. At this time there's no HTML template export. But here's #protip: You can view source of emails sent in gmail (and other clients) :)
