Voicenotes is an intelligent note-taking app. Record your thoughts freely, get them transcribed using state-of-the-art AI, and ask about every word you spoke.
Hello everyone!
My wife Aleesha and I built something that weβve been using every single day...
Voicenotes.com is an AI note-taker thatβs truly intelligent. Record your thoughts freely, get them transcribed using state-of-the-art AI, and ask about every word you spoke.
We just published a video to celebrate the launch: https://twitter.com/jijosunny/st...
Happy to answer any questions, but otherwise, we appreciate all your support. πβ€οΈβπ₯

@elizabeth_cooper2@anilagrawal64@radu_lupu@art_prokopenko Thanks, appreciate the kind words folks β€οΈ
@joeyfigaro It's stored on Amazon S3 (like iCloud) and we use presigned URLs to allow access to authenticated users. Because all the best-in-class AI models are hosted, self-hosting is not an option, unless open source models really catch up. :)
@max_savonin1 Great questions, Max. We're working on full export features as well as integrations (Zapier, Readwise, and eventually webhook). I'll reach out to you post-launch re your other suggestions - would love to learn more. Meanwhile, I wrote this FAQ covering more about the product: https://help.voicenotes.com/en/a...
Absolutely in love with this app! The design, the simplicity and the team made me an early believer since day 1.
Super congrats Jijo and Aleesha β€οΈ
PS: Can't wait to dive into a lot of details on my pod π
Loving the thoughts --> voice notes --> AI transcription --> AI summary --> AI bullet points --> context search
pipeline being enabled by !Voicenotes
Kudos @jijosunny@aleesha_john
@jijosunny Thought I should let you know I made it this far. I have not tried it yet. Thank you both for trying and sharing. I highly recommend that you don't use the "deal" word. Aka, only devils make deals. Try "bargain" or something like that, because it sounds like it really is.
THIS is what my life was missing! Thank you! Just downloaded, created a note seamlessly and already feel like excited to have a place to compile all my observations, insights and inspiration. I used to use Evernote a lot, then Medium and now just a basic notes app but this is going to be π₯π₯π₯
@terrence_kelleman You two.... So funny. I may have some new stuff, like 4 or 5 things, in the near future. Seeing you both communicating here makes me take note of Product Hunt for exposure. Thank you both. @ Terrence, I asked someone who was claiming to represent life's truthful interests if they agreed that The Truth of the Importance of Life itself is that Life is always Truthfully Most Important. BMaC was a real handy tool to quickly identify someone who was actually committing pure rampant outright fraud of a life cause. They could not and now cannot honestly claim that they did get shared that Truth while they lived and they are not sharing and endorsing it now. So... Much appreciated π Sure, it cost a few bucks, but it sure saved a lot of time and was well worth iit to get to the truth that they were choosing to not honestly care about life and truth. Please note that that person still is Truthfully Most Important. It's just that they cannot ever be properly trusted with life of any kind ever again because they can only now learn through consequences going forward because they can never be shared a higher truth. Note here that consequences alone are not ever good enough to properly represent life of any kind in any capacity, and that's why they can't be properly trusted with life of any kind ever again. The possibility of that person having genuine honest human integrity going forward is actually gone, forver! That's just one small example of an infinite amount of examples of how important Most Important really is.
I've been using the app for a while. voicenotes.com is now my go-to app for converting my ideas in voice format to article threads. https://voicenotes.com/s/gPF811
Can confirm that Voicenotes hasn't been down at all so far. It looks like Max runs another AI writing product. I think PH team should take a look at this negative promo. @producthunt@rajiv_ayyangar
Incredibly excited for this launch β I've been following Jijo for a while now and every product of his (BuyMeACoffee, Bio Link) has always been of stellar quality, and Voicenotes is no exception. Very excited to see where you take this β congrats on the launch!
Love it! Are you using the OpenAI Whisper API to transcribe the notes? We built a faster, more affordable and API-compatible alternative at https://lemonfox.ai/. Let me know if you are interested.
Wow! Till now my Memos were full of such voice notes and I can't tell how much I have struggled to find when I needed them the most. Would love to try this. Congratulations on the launch guys! :D
Looks pretty amazing @jijosunny !. An ideas perhaps you might be interested in - How about a person is able to share these notes such as summary, notes, anything on whatsapp, ig etc? The crux - Including sharing option. Will be win win for both- You get more users and user gets to share things easily with other users
Simple, sleek, and super handy. It's obvious that you've put serious love into making Voicenotes so easy to use. π Plus, I really like that there is no sign-up needed. Congrats on your launch!
Fortunately, I secured a lifetime subscription the next day of Sunny's Twitter announcement during the initial launch. I'd recommend you do the same. Value is immense, and saves tons of time and effort.
My personal experience - It is such a delight to use this product, I have it on my phone and desktop. Replaced my Apple voice memos. The best part is asking questions and getting answers esp when your notes are very lengthy and you don't wanna scroll through lengthy transcription.
My feedback after using it for 1 month
- On the left panel where there are hashtags, it would be nice to have a number/label to showcase a number of notes within same the hashtags
- Sometimes, I want to ask a question to a certain note, not all notes at once. I still quite find it difficult to do that. In the list of AI actions ( Summarise, Email, Tweet ), could you include, "Ask Question" so that we can interact with a certain note exclusively? I found it. It is under create -> ask custom instructions -> select a note ). It would be easier if "Ask my AI" had an option to choose all notes or a particular note
- On several occasions, I've recorded a voice note, but it never got uploaded. Maybe a loader could indicate progress or notify when it's ready to use.
- Voice notes transcriptions are really useful for lengthy notes ( For example - I've notes which are 5/6 page scrolls in length). Wish there was a way to highlight the text so that I can quickly glimpse important lines without asking AI.
- I'm afraid of accidental deletion; a visible "Trash" can give me less anxiety because I can always restore items from it.
- At the moment, it shows the date of the record but not the time. It helps me recollect easier with the time associated with the title
@rajavijayach Noted the feedback! Happy to share that we're already working on some of these (mentioned in detail here: https://help.voicenotes.com/en/a...). Audio loss is especially serious and we're implementing offline support to fix it permanently - will roll it out post-launch. Thanks for the kind words, Raja.
Voicenotes is my favourite app of this kind and I've tried many by now. I bought it immediately after taking my first voice note. The UI is simple and uncluttered. It just works!
I'm mainly using it for voice journalling right now whilst going for a walk. Voicenotes managed a 40-min transcription absolutely fine.
As for the AI tools I use "main points" and "summarise" on almost every note to remove the fluff.
The "Ask me something" prompt is such a good idea and takes into context your previous notes. I haven't used it much but it's a feature that makes me smile. It'll be interesting to use "Ask my AI" further down the line after months of context.
This iOS app is amazing - so handy to be able to close the app/lock the screen and continue recording.
Highly recommend Voicenotes to anyone considering!
Iβm a big fan of voice notes. Since I came across Voicenotes recently, itβs become my favourite app for recording voice. Recording daily log notes is something I do every day. Those small moments are easy to capture. I especially like the ability to share notes or copy and paste the transcripts elsewhere. Voicenotes is a key productivity tool for me and Iβm having fun finding different use cases. My husband, who is blind, is also a fan. He relies on voice and has been using the app to create Instagram and blog posts, and WhatsApp messages.
@jijosunny & Aleesha, congrats on the launch! I've been using Voicenotes for about a month now, and it's been my go-to app and one of the most utilized (#120 of 9965! in the rankings): great work, and congrats on such a great offering that drives tremendous value at an affordable cost!
I love this product's refined simplicity. I've used a lot of notetaking apps, but this has been by far the stickiest and most utilized. Keep up the great work, and I'm glad I was an early adopter of this gem!
