UPDATE 2022: We just launched a new feature which lets you send video messages as well (kind of like Loom). As a little perk for those who'll see this message, you can use the code "PRODUCTHUNT" to get a free lifetime Pro access (10 codes available) :) We recently made it to 1'500$ in total revenue and also reached 1'500 signups, which means it was time to share Vocal with the world! We've built this as a small bootstrapped business and have been delighted by the feedback we've received so far :) SOME MORE INFORMATION - It works in a super private way: we record your voice message locally and attach it as an .mp3 file to your email. Your data is not stored anywhere. - There is a free plan to send voice messages up to 1-minute and a paid plan if you want to go above and beyond - The UX for listening to voice messages is super simple as well. No app required. People can just click on the mp3 file to listen to it in the browser. On mobile, it opens automatically as well depending on the device and version (on Android, users have to choose their default app the first time, but that's it). Only issue is with Outlook (of course :P) where the audio message has to be downloaded to the desktop. - Next feature would be a mobile app to be able to send voice messages on the go (so that you can look in front of you while walking!). But we need more revenue first to be able to finance this :)

Not on PH that much usually but I thought that we had reached enough of a PMF to risk it ;) The B2B use cases that we see the most are: 1. support agents wanting to be more personal/efficient. 2. VIPs who want to reply to their fans/customers with a special personal touch there is also a big chunk of people in Spanish speaking countries who like communicating over voice much more than text it seems :)

voice messages are great and easy to send, but over-time content starts to get lost. does the product do transcribing and search to find relevant comments in the past?

Congrats on the launch Nathan. I've installed Vocal but can't use it because it doesn't let me select my audio input device. My system device is bugged so I need to select the right audio interface. Can you add this feature?
