v0.dev is a generative user interface system by Vercel Labs powered by AI. It generates copy-and-paste friendly React code based on Shadcn UI and Tailwind CSS.
Hey there! @jaredpalmer here from Vercel and v0 team. Happy to answer any questions. We're excited about the launch and the future of frontend generative UI.
Another fascinating entrant into the React/UI AI generative toolset.
Here's how it works:
v0 uses AI models to generate code based on simple text prompts.
After you submit your prompt, we give you three choices of AI-generated user interfaces. You can choose one and copy paste its code, or refine it further.
To refine, you can select individual parts of the generated UI to fine tune your creation. When you are ready, you can copy, paste, and ship.
@chrismessina Agreed. This is what nocode evolving looks like. Not only is no coding required, this opens the door for almost no technical knowledge required. It's simply creation through being able to articulate your ideas and thoughts.
There is real value here on a large scale. This is something I will be trying. Super interesting to see how v0 design stacks up against your commonplace nocodes and WP sites.
This is the next level right here. You have my support
Wow, this is epic. As someone who has built a lot of UIs in their career, it’s pretty incredible to think that some really polished design might be possible to create using generative AI. We already waste a lot of time rebuilding the same UI over and over, hopefully this makes things even faster for those who build the web.
Also, I didn’t realize @jaredpalmer is working at Vercel now too. The talent accumulating over there is unreal.
@jaredpalmer@nickjnish appreciate the kind words Nick! We’ll be onboarding folks in the next couple of weeks, would love to get you feedback then when you try out the product! 🙏
Looks like a great idea, and the work from the Vercel team is amazing! But it's hard to comment on something that I can't try out or is behind a waitlist :s. Also I would recommend against the UI of asking a user for input on what they want to make, to later be surprised with a 'Not really yet' message, why put the effort of thinking of something I want to make to later be shown a 'join the waitlist', really bad UX there.
This is genius, and i can't wait to use it.
I have two questions:
1- Will it support other frameworks later on.
2- How much would this cost approximately.
@yassinebridi Thanks for the questions!
1. Yes – as we continue to build v0 and prepare for general availability, we will be adding support for other UI libraries. This may include tools like Svelte, Vue, or plain HTML.
2. v0 is free to use while in Private Alpha. We will be announcing pricing as it becomes generally available.

It needed to be said. The onboarding sucks big time. Another misleading Sign up to join the waitlist. Shame on you for using black pattern to collect users. Not a good start!
