@andreea_staicu@junetic Congrats on the launch. Scaling voice interviews through AI is an exciting idea.
Iโm curiousโhow flexible is UserCall when it comes to integrating the insights gathered into other analytics tools for broader product feedback?
I'm working with a common currently, and we wanted to call every person who purchased on the website to get feedback and find out the "Why" behind their purchase. But we postponed the task cuz we were running other ops and doing marketing and didn't have time for the calls. This looks interesting... is there any possibility to record the voice of founder of a startup and use that for interview calls?
BTW - congrats on the launch!
@ali_eskandari Hi Ali. Thanks for sharing your context and use case! Right now we don't have a 'voice clone' feature yet. However, it is also important to make clear to users that they will be on a call with an AI agent. This ensures more trust and actually we find that many people very comfortable to opening up about their deeper needs and thoughts with an AI. That said, voice cloning or being able to personalize the voice in more detail is something we can explore. Another way might be to be able to provide a custom intro voice note/video from the researcher (or founder in your case) to provide a more personal context for users before they start speaking with the AI agent
Great job on releasing Usercall! ๐
The AI interviewer feature is impressive. Do you have any tips for getting the most out of the voice conversation summaries?
@andreea_staicu We suggest reading the summaries and then diving deep to actually listen to the recording and/or reviewing the raw transcripts. This exercise will help you develop more empathy and repeating the process will reveal patterns that lead to insights. We'll also be working on features to make this process easier/more helpful as well
@lumi_nertan hi Lumi. The AI agent will do its best to probe and follow up with the user to get to the learning goals you provide it. Additionally, you can set specific questions for it to follow as well.
For privacy, its no different than when researcher interviews users and records it. Users are notified that call is recorded for internal use only by the company conducting the research
@junetic Congrats on the Launch!
Recently, I've been receiving a lot of AI phone calls. How does Usercall design its system to prevent users from hanging up immediately upon realizing it's an AI :p
@oldmann Thanks for asking. It is very clear before engaging in the call via the weblink that the call is with an AI agent. The users are voluntarily engaging in the call to participate in your research (just like a survey link). And yes, people can drop off just like a survey. However, we believe even a few voice conversations will reveal 10x+ more valuable qualitative insights than 100 survey responses. Also this is not for outbound marketing or robocalling and we offer no such features ๐
Hey Junu,
I'm wondering how you ensure the AI interviewer asks appropriate follow-up questions without leading the user?
Do you have any plans to integrate with popular user research platforms for a more seamless workflow?
Congrats on the launch!
@kyrylosilin Thanks for asking Kyrylo. We've put in a lot of work, training and testing to make sure the AI agent does not ask leading questions and follow best practices for user research. That said, we're constantly working to improve this and will be putting into place systems to evaluate quality of questions and responses.
We don't currently have plans to integrate with other research platforms/repositories. Did you have a use case or integration in mind?
Usercall sounds like a revolutionary tool for obtaining deep user insights! ๐ The ability to train an AI researcher with specific questions and learning goals, along with the customization options for branding and languages, is impressive. The comprehensive voice conversation summaries, transcripts, and recordings make it easier to gather actionable insights.
Congrats on developing such a powerful platform! ๐ Can you share any examples or case studies of how companies have successfully used Usercall to improve their products or businesses? Also, are there any exciting features in the pipeline that we should be on the lookout for? Keep up the fantastic work! ๐ @junetic
@tony_creator Thanks Tony. We have a range of companies from b2c unicorns, small productivity startups to marketing/design agencies using the tool to help them accelerate and improve their user research efforts
I always wondered of having something similar which can revolutionise user research by offering unparalleled depth and personalisation, capturing rich emotional data that surveys can't match. Well done. Appreciate the idea!!
Looks useful for gathering in-depth insights quickly! The ability to train the AI interviewer and customize it with branding sounds like a game-changer for teams. Congrats on the launch!
Usercall looks super handy for getting deep insights quickly! Just checked it out, and it seems really useful for teams wanting to understand their users better. Congrats on the launch!
@kavyaaatripathi Thanks! I have background in design and user research and always found it very difficult to get deep user insights for products Iโve built
I don't know if replacing traditional surveys is the way to go, sure AI can offer deeper insights, but sometimes it also misses nuances that a human interviewer can catch. Having worked with tech startups, I've seen that user feedback often needs that human touch to really understand the context and motivations, relying solely on AI might not give the full picture. Plus, what about privacy concerns, aren't a lot of users still wary of AI handling their personal info, maybe it's worth considering a hybrid approach to balance it out.
@javaspringdev Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I agree with your perspective on not replacing the human touch with 1:1 interviews or even surveys. Each research method has its pros and cons. This is not a replacement to any. Just an added tool to the toolkit. Most skilled UX researchers understand this which is why 'mixed methods' is a common term in the field.
For privacy, it's no different that having your call recorded during a customer service phone call or a user interview session. This is communicated to the users clearly.
Congrats on the Product Hunt launch, UserCall! ๐ This tool is a lifesaver for anyone struggling to gather in-depth user insights efficiently. Being able to conduct AI-moderated voice interviews at scale is such a time-saver.
This sounds like a game-changer for gathering in-depth user feedback! The ability to automate follow-ups and customize everything from voices to branding is a next-level feature. Can't wait to see how Usercall helps businesses connect more deeply with their audience!
