More information: Urbacraft is a digital and physical platform for mass customizable construction toys that allows anyone to imagine, manufacture, and sell their own designs. Ayssar Arida is a practicing urbatect, writer, educator, and entrepreneur. He is the author of the influential book Quantum City. Manuel Castells includes him in the group of “some of the brightest urban minds of today”. After 13 years running Q-DAR (development, architecture, research) in London and Paris, he launched Urbatecture, the first urban design thinking agency in Beirut. In 2013 he gave a Ted Talk at TEDxLAU and is currently the Parsons Representative for the Middle East and North Africa. Sabine de Maussion is a PhD candidate at Goldsmiths College in Visual Cultures (London) and an instructor in Curatorial Studies. She was the Head of the Arts Department at the French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs. Throughout her career she maintained long term partnerships with key organisations to anchor and develop artistic, cultural and educational projects in developing countries.
