We have a vision:
We see a future where all steps in the process of creating and deploying a digital asset will be done from one place.
This release brings us a few steps closer to that vision.
Deploy more 👩💻
Besides being able to deploy Go, Node.js, Python, Ruby, and static sites, we’ve now added:
- Ghost blogging platform
- Serverless functions: C#, Go, Java, Node.js, PHP, Python, Ruby
- Data stores: MariaDB, PostgresSQL, Redis
- Data management: Hasura, Metabase, phpMyAdmin
Deploying any of these follows the exact same flow, making it very easy for you.
New design 🎨
We’re constantly obsessing over how to simplify things further, so are excited to launch our re-designed interface.
It’s now easier than ever to deploy anything you like.
Regions 🌍
You can now choose to deploy your creations to the following locations: Asia, Europe, USA. That way, you can host your app closest to where your customers are.
Uptime monitor 📈
The new and improved uptime monitor provides more detail than before, including app load times across several regions.
Rollback ↺
Should things go wrong, it’s now super easy to rollback to a previously deployed state.
Price 💵
It’s totally free to deploy anything. Besides what’s mentioned above, you get:
- 1 GB RAM, 1 CPU, and 500 MB storage
- Free automated SSL certificate renewals
- Custom domains with fully managed SSL certificates
- Set sensitive environment variables for your app
- View realtime logs of your application
We’re looking forward to seeing what you create! Feel free to ship something and tell us about it here, or on Twitter.

@leandro8209 Massive congrats on the launch! I am so, so excited about this. Love the simple design and your mission to make it easy for anyone to deploy any kind of application. I'll deploy my next one with Unubo! ✨
@rashidaziz Happy to hear that, Rashid! Netlify makes it easy to deploy static sites. Doing anything else such as deploying fully available, scalable web apps requires context switching - it's an entirely different flow.
Firebase is part of an extremely large ecosystem - Google. I think what you're talking about is Firebase Hosting, which is for static sites. For what it's intended it is good, but again, if you want to deploy something else for your next project, you need to follow an entirely different flow.
With Unubo, it doesn't matter if you deploy a static site, a database, or a blog - everything follows the exact same flow. We're a design led platform that focuses on making things as simple as possible for you. With us you save time, allowing you to focus on what matters.
Looks amazing! Any plans to support Ruby on Rails instead of only Sinatra? I'm also curious about the paid plans. When do you think the paid plans will be revealed?
@jake_prins Thank you! Yes, supporting Rails is is definitely in the pipeline. We don’t have exact timing on when we’ll roll out our paid plans - perhaps a few months. Make sure you follow us on Twitter (link is above), so you can stay up to date.
@vukidrock A few people have asked for this, so we released it today. Follow the docs here.
Be sure to clear your browser cache before doing this. Anything else, just let us know.
If you know Leandro at all, you probably know that he values simplicity above most things. This is obvious with his approach to product—a philosophy of simplifying what needn't be complicated. Bravo and congrats!
@ricalamino Hi Ricardo, we've had a look at your project, and it is now working. A particular command was missing. We've emailed you with details. Thank you!
Why is latency so much? Even if I reside in europe and I select europe servers, why do I get 0.5-1 second latency for no-op serverless functions? When I ping servers, I get 100ms~ round-trip time.
@musab Hi there, sorry you're having this experience. Message us via this method, give us the details of the app and we can look into this: https://twitter.com/UnuboHQ/stat...
@leeclissett1 Zeit only focus on the serverless model. With Unubo serverless is just one row from a selection of 19 different deployment types. This way, for all of your projects, you don't have to switch between providers, and the deployment flow remains exactly the same, regardless of what you deploy. It's just way simpler.
Hey! This is something I have been wanting in my life, but I am having an issue. I created a test repo yet it doesn't show in the Repositories list. I even removed and re-added github access. Additionally, I would suggest being able to toggle the repo selection button.
@pebutler3 HI there, I'm glad this is something you require! I'd like to take some details from you, so I can help you further, but I don't suggest doing that here, publicly. Contact us on the intercom bubble in the app, or send us a message to support@unubo.com. We'll go from there!
@dominiquek Thank you, this is exactly our focus, with this being a design led platform. Happy to see it resonates! Design credit goes to @marcelthomas5, who is marked as a maker on this post.
@phuoc Hi there, we tried our best to include as much as possible, and will write more as time goes on. What in particular is missing for you right now?
@leandro8209 Hi I'm using nodejs serverless functions. I've tried other providers such as firebase functions, netlify functions and zeit now. Each of them has a slightly different signature that are well documented with multiple examples. For unubo, I only see a simple hello world example. Things like handling different methods, parsing data, sending responses are missing. And I can only iterate by deploying, which is irritating.
