Thank you for checking out undb! 🎉 We built undb with a clear mission: to create a powerful, privacy-first no-code platform that serves both developers and non-technical users. Whether you’re a developer looking for type-safe APIs or someone with no coding experience who just wants to create and manage databases effortlessly, undb is designed to be flexible and user-friendly. We’re excited to hear your feedback and suggestions as we continue to evolve and improve undb. Your thoughts mean a lot to us, so don’t hesitate to share your ideas or ask any questions! Thanks for your support, and happy building! 🚀

Loving the concept of undb,@nichenqin ! The focus on privacy and ease of use is exactly what the no-code community needs. The offline-first approach is impressive.

Congrats @nichenqin on the launch of undb! Love how you’re focusing on privacy and ease of use—definitely fills a gap in the market compared to Airtable. Can't wait to see how undb evolves with user feedback. Excited to start exploring those type-safe APIs! Here’s to smoother database management ahead. Keep up the great work! 🌟

Loving the vision behind undb, @nichenqin! A privacy-first no-code platform with local-first capabilities is a game changer. The type-safe APIs are a huge plus for maintaining data integrity. How do you plan on supporting users who want to migrate their existing databases to undb?
nichenqin
@renchu_song We plan to support importing data from various data sources, including existing databases. However, it’s important to note that undb is not merely a database UI, so the imported data will be managed by undb. Additionally, we plan to support databases beyond SQLite in the future.

Love the concept of undb! A local-first, no-code platform could be a game changer for both devs and non-techies. 🙌 Can’t wait to see how it evolves! Excited to give it a spin and maybe compare it with Airtable. @nichenqin, you’ve got my upvote!

Hey nichenqin, What kind of security measures are in place to ensure that user data remains private and secure? Congrats on the launch!

This sounds interesting! @nichenqin, can you explain how undb's offline capabilities work in more detail? Also, what kind of integrations do you plan to support in the future?

Congrats on the launch. I have used Airtable and like to see that there is a open source service for same. Thanks for making this.

I stumbled upon this platform through some random online ads and decided to give it a shot since I'm always on the look for new tools, honestly, it feels quite basic and not intuitive at times, why not add some more guided tutorials or templates for non-tech users struggling with setup, also, having some reliability issues with offline mode, any fixes coming soon?

Looks like you're trying to step into Airtable's shoes, huh? But does it handle data as smoothly as Airtable? Can it really support non-coders with the same ease? be cool to see some side-by-side feature comparisons, and how about a mobile-friendly version?
Eléonore
Another one huh? I guess it'll be interesting to see how this holds up against Airtable and Notion, wondering if the so-called privacy-first feature really delivers, we'll see if it’s actually as user-friendly as claimed or just another buzzword parade

It's cool to see a new option out there for building databases and APIs but I wonder how it'll hold up in the long run, also how does it deal with complex queries, any plans for integrating some real-time collaboration features, curious to see how this will grow and if it'll really be a game changer, keep pushing the limits!

I stumbled across this new tool through an ad, gotta say, while the idea of a no-code platform sounds great, I can't help but worry about the security aspects of having a local-first, offline-first system, sure it promises ease of use, but is it really worth risking our data privacy over?
Andrey Karnauch
I get that this platform is for both devs and non-tech folks, but why not focus on one group and perfect it? feels like trying to do too much at once, could get real messy quick
Hamza Mathlouthi
Okay cool, privacy-first sounds nice but how do you handle syncing issues when working offline and switching back online, also the 'no-code' part feels a bit misleading, it looks like it still requires some tech knowledge to set up, any plans to make it more user-friendly for complete newbies
Mohammed Amine
I get the idea behind this new platform but can’t help but wonder how it stacks up against established players like Airtable and even Notion, local-first is cool but sounds like a step backwards in a world moving to the cloud, yeah it's privacy-focused, but are there folks who really trust local data over cloud these days, feels a bit niche if you ask me
Carole
So we're supposed to trust a no-code platform to handle data security really? I get the offline-first idea but open-source doesn't always mean safer, curious to see how this pans out.
