Thanks @rohanrecommends for hunting us! Hello, good people of Product Hunt! 👋 Ever thought why writing essays, assignments or even research papers via AI continues to remain a herculean task despite so many tools out there that promise to do it for you? If you have all your notes and research together, it ideally should not be so difficult to put together a written piece that is both well-written and well-researched, given the state of AI today, right now. After the fantastic response to the SciSpace Copilot launch last year (#3 Product of the Day), this is the challenge we took up next and I’m proud to announce the launch of the SciSpace AI Writer — a tool that makes writing beautiful essays and fine-tuning research papers accessible to everyone. —— SciSpace AI Writer makes full use of our years of experience in research and helps just about anyone write essays, assignments and research that are accurate, tonally right and have citations! Unlike other tools in the market, it is trained on over 280 million research papers and is built keeping all the different user personas in mind — students, academics and researchers. 👊 Here’s everything you get with a free sign-up: → Choose and change tones with a click → The ability to export your output in 75+ languages → Slash commands to help you create entire outlines → Incredibly fast autocomplete when you are stuck anywhere → A rich-text editor that lets you write just the way you want to → Cite from our ever-expanding library of 280M+ research papers or add your own sources ✨ But here’s where things get really interesting: → You can use and save notes from anywhere across the SciSpace platform on to your draft. For example, if you are dissecting a research paper on our copilot tool, simply tap and click on “Save to Notebook”. This makes the process of research and writing seamless — we see SciSpace as the place where you can do everything without having to constantly switch tabs → Because we realise that a big chunk of users for this tool will be students, we have kept the pricing as affordable as possible. We created an Arcade interactive demo showing our customers' logged-in experience: Logged-in Walkthrough SciSpace is already used by nearly 2 million people worldwide and we hope this tool is able to help them and everyone else who has ever struggled with writing. I look forward to valuable feedback and suggestions from the PH community! :)

Congratulations on launching this innovative tool! I'm really excited about the capabilities it brings to the academic community. The integration of a new AI writer with in-text citations and support for 75+ languages sounds like a game changer. I'm particularly impressed by how it maintains accuracy in autocomplete, which should really enhance the writing process for so many researchers. One question I have is whether there are plans to add more specialized citation formats for different fields. Additionally, have you considered incorporating collaborative features for teams working on joint research projects? Overall, it looks like you've created something truly valuable for academics—great job!
Saikiran Chandha
@new_user_1456bcfea6 We support around 10k+ citation styles, do give it a try and let me know if you find something missing. Team collaboration features are currently work in progress.
Kunal Sahu
@saikiranchandha Effective and functional especially the auto-suggest. Just a suggestion to add more formatting options plus adding essentials such as figures or any of my local diagrams. I tried drag-dropping a few images from my local, but it did not take. Also would appreciate a page indicator if the export is in docx.
Saikiran Chandha
@kunalsahupro Thanks for the feedback! I've added these features to our roadmap.
Alexandre Contador

Wow, this looks like a game-changer for academic writing! As someone who's struggled with research papers before, I'm excited to give SciSpace AI Writer a spin. The integration with your existing research ecosystem is brilliant - no more juggling a million tabs and losing track of sources. A few thoughts on how you could potentially take it to the next level: 1. It'd be awesome to have a collaboration feature where multiple users can work on a document together in real-time. Group projects just got a whole lot easier! 2. Have you considered adding a plagiarism checker? That would give users extra peace of mind before submitting their work. 3. A mobile app would be fantastic for jotting down ideas on the go. Sometimes inspiration strikes at the weirdest times! 4. Maybe throw in some fun writing prompts or challenges to help combat writer's block? Nothing gets the creative juices flowing like a ridiculous scenario to write about. Compared to other AI writing tools I've tried, the research paper focus and citation features really make SciSpace stand out. It's like having a super-smart research assistant who never sleeps (and doesn't drink all your coffee). One burning question though - can it write my dating profile too? Asking for a friend, of course. 😉 Keep up the great work, team! Can't wait to see how this evolves.
Saikiran Chandha
@nikhilpareek Thanks for all the great recommendation. Yes, we are actively working on multi-player features and plagiarism checker.
PhD. Vinicius Covas
I attended an academic congress last week where I frequently mentioned SciSpace. I wasn’t aware that the solution was about to launch—congratulations! We should catch up sometime. Best, PhD. Vinicius Covas.

Congratulations on launching such an innovative tool! I'm really excited to see how the new AI writer can enhance the research process for so many users. One feature that particularly stands out to me is the in-text citations capability—it's such a game changer for ensuring academic integrity. Also, supporting 75+ languages is impressive and shows a commitment to accessibility for academics around the world. I’m curious if there are plans to integrate more specialized writing styles for different fields of study or perhaps create a community for users to share their content ideas. Keep up the great work; this looks like a fantastic resource for researchers everywhere!
Saikiran Chandha
@allen_xu1130 Thank you so much for the support! 😊 We’re glad you love the in-text citations and our focus on accessibility. Yes, we’re exploring ways to include specialized writing styles for various fields but would love to learn more from you. Could you give some examples?
Tony Han
Oh the citation feature is so smart - it's def a big differentiator from a lot of other AI writing tools and generic GPTs. This is a great pain point to focus on! I wonder if AI can look at the paper and suggest relevant papers to read so the user can add more ideas? (maybe a big web of papers like a network?) Congrats on the launch @saikiranchandha and team!
Saikiran Chandha
@tonyhanded Thanks for the kind words. Yes, upload a paper on Scispace and ask the chatbot to recommend papers, it is going to look into the network and recommend other papers to read. You can also highlight on a specific section of paper to get explanations and get recommendations.
