Are there actually any disadvantages of programmatic SEO, e.g. Google penalizing you? Being more irrelevant when you have other organic content as well?
@vdelitz depends a bit. Even Google uses a lot of programmatic SEO. The main key point is to bring value. Don't just be lazy and copy paste the same article just changing one keyword, but instead write unique, interesting articles at scale.
Also, you don't need to publish 1000K posts, Typemat is great also for publishing just 5 posts about pros and cons of your competitors.
I've recently used it just to publish 2 blog posts.
So the main question you should ask yourself is: "will a reader find this content useful?" Or is it spam? If it's useful it will rank!

You mentioned that the product has been around for 2 years - do you adapt it to Google's algorithms? What changes do you make? Please provide more details.
@kostyadoronin Typemat really only helps building the content. Then how you adapt/change/write the content is up to you. I'm sure people adapted their pSEO strategies but doesn't really affects the tool
We're seeing more pSEO tools with the rise of AI. How does this compare to others like Daydream, @cosbgn?
@rrhoover TBH I just learned about them, nice that they just raised 2.5M pre-seed!
Clearly AI helps a lot with SEO & programmatic SEO, one of the main reason we use Google Sheets as a database rather than a CSV import is that you can use AI extensions to write the content (https://workspace.google.com/u/0...).
Even on my demo example, the whole content is AI written.
I'm obviously very biased, but I really like the fact that with Typemat all your content resides on a Google Sheets.
If you want to build a successful pseo campaign it really all comes back to the quality of the data, and IMO google sheets is currently the easiest and better integrated tool for the job (zapier, AI writers, etc).
Not sure really what daydream will build. Let's see!

@zayan_riyaz it used to be a blog builder focused on performance. Then it pivoted to a programmatic site builder. As in how it simplifies, well it's really, really hard to write 100 posts one by one!
