To back up for a second and provide a quick backstory on Tykr… In 2011 I began my investing journey. At that time, I found it nearly impossible to know where to start (If you’re a beginner, don’t worry, you’re not alone!). I also found it confusing to know the difference between a GOOD stock and a BAD stock. There is a lot of bad advice on YouTube, Twitter, Reddit, TikTok, etc and it’s hard to know what to look for and what to avoid. Fortunately, I found the teachings of Warren Buffett, Charlie Munger, and Phil Town to be very helpful. In 2015 I started working on an Excel sheet and I wanted to gamify this sheet with a point system between 0 and 100. 0 being a weak stock and 100 being a strong stock. That would allow me to truly know what stocks to look for and what stocks to avoid. Between 2016 and 2019 my annual returns ranged between 15% and 50%. As Warren, Charlie, and Phil teach us, we should aim for more than 15% per year. In other words, the Excel sheet worked! In 2019 I shared the Excel sheet with a few beginners as well as experienced investors and their response was “When are you going to turn this into a software platform to share with others?” At that moment I decided to move forward with the idea and it took about one year to build the first version. In 2020, Tykr went live as a web app. In 2024, Tykr now has over 9,000 customers in over 50 countries and we’re proud to say our Trustpilot score is a 4.9/5.0. A: Yes! Plus, we will also include Duolingo-inspired educational modules to help investors get up-to-speed so they can confidently invest as soon as they like. Q: If I join the mobile app, can I also use the web app? A: Yes! No matter if you join the mobile app or web app, you get access to both platforms. In other words, if you make changes on one platform, they are automatically reflected on the other platform. (Similar to using Facebook and LinkedIn). Q: Why are we launching on Product Hunt? Nice, thank you Sean. I'm just starting my journey in the investment field, so Tykr is an interesting stuff to check out. BTW, can you share more about the 'Starter Funds' feature on your roadmap? How will these templates simplify the investment process for users?

Research made easy! Really love this idea. I want to invest more, but the research process is an absolute pain. And it feels ultimately like you're guessing. I love this alternative!

Been a user for a few years now. I learned a lot, and Sean has been super. The platform is clean and intuitive, the daily alerts are helpful, and this mobile app is going to be a great upgrade.

One of the Ms of investment is Management. I will say one of the first attractive the feature of the Tykr brand is the owner. Secondly, it is about the product. Tyke was product that assisted me to have an idea what to look for in the stock market. Before then I do not look at stocks. I can say for certain that it is a very useful tool. DO you know that the owner runs a free Youtube channel that picks a stock and use tykr and the 4 M principle and analyze stocks? There is so much value from the community and I hope the brand gets all the awareness it needs to compete with bigger tools out there.

I could say Tykr was my gateway to a more informed and confident stock trading :'D Even though I still couldn't trade stocks (I live in KSA, and I think stock trading was really only made possible last year 2023). When you register, they will send you educational materials I live in the KSA, and it was really difficult to buy stocks. I've been signed up with them for maybe 2 or 3 years now :'D

Right time, right place. I discovered this investing gem a couple of years ago and it just gets better. Tykr is the best education + platform stock training stack I have used. The app will make this platform that much better. IMPORTANT: The paid training videos are all one needs to do great in the market; they are excellent and worth the investment.

This is one fantastic piece of software for investing, particularly in the style of Warren Buffet, the late Charlie Monger, Phil Town etc. I've been looking for something like this for a long time. It's a great addition to my toolkit and really helps to support (and speed up) my research process. Not only is the software really good, so is the support too. A lot of effort has clearly gone into building this tool with new features coming out regularly. Good experience all round to date.

Hey @seantepper Congrats on the launch. I hope more people get to know about it and use this to make better decisions while investing. Just a couple of things I saw during the onboarding that you might want to get fixed for better experience to the user : 1. The app does not let you proceed without selecting for a watchlist from the given options (limited in number) 2. There is no option to select PH for the questions - where did you hear about us. You will not be able to quantify how successful the launch was without it. Otherwise, a great app, would recommend to all my friends.
