Hello ProductHunters! 👋 Welcome to Jello, the place to create disposable group chats!📱 Invite who you need for events, team meetings, or planning a day out. Avoid the hassle of creating extra group chats and cluttering your main messaging app. No sign-up or personal details required for participants to join 🚀 Jello has 4 simple goals: 🎯 Help keep your primary messaging app free from dead group chats 🎯 Bring everyone together from the plethora of social apps that exist today 🎯 Sharing experiences from weekly group activities or communities 🎯 Create inner circles within larger group chats To achieve this goal, I’ve created a feature called disposable chats which can be created with a single link (similar to Google Meets, an app to create video call conferences with one shareable link). After 24h, your chat will end, and after another 24h, the chat will disappear from your list. You can change the chat timer to keep it active for up to a week or even a month ⏰ I believe by making chats disappear after a given time, conversations can be more focused and productive, and creates an urgency to make a decision as a group within the allocated time. It also solves the problem of having a dead group chat for after the moment/event has finished If you’re like me, you definitely have dead group chats on your main messenger app; it’s a dreadful sight. I’ve planned single movie nights out with some friends at work, and after the night out, we never spoke on the chat again; yet none of us leave, and even months after i still haven’t deleted the chat and it’s just sitting there on my chat list 🙄 With disposable chats, i never have to create another one off group chat on my main messenger app again 🙌 Another case I found needing shareable one-off chats, is to try and get all my friends together to plan a day out 🚗. Everyone uses different social media these days, whether that’s Instagram, Snapchat, Discord or Whatsapp (even Tiktok). Even if they did share the same app, everyone has their own preference on where to be messaged on, so they’d mute certain apps (i have instagram muted, you can’t contact me through there) or just not have the habit of opening and checking for new messages. So I found myself being the middle person chasing people up on the different apps they do check. This might take several days to do which can be very frustrating and time consuming. Jello has allowed me to invite my friends from different apps into a centralised chat to quickly plan events and activities 🔥 But the real straw that broke the camel's back moment that really pushed me to create Jello was during an agonising customer support experience 😡. My workplace had just signed up to a new service, and we were in the free trial/onboarding phase. During this period we encountered a technical bug with their system that didn’t allow us to use their service properly. I had sent an email to the person in charge of our onboarding process, and that’s where our 20 days of “he said she said” started To try to resolve the technical issue, multiple developers and support agents had to get involved from our side and their side to report errors and testing findings (through email or a middle person). A single email would go through multiple forwards chains, people would reply to one email and it would get lost, so there were constant follow ups and forwarding. This caused MAJOR delays. At one point, to ask a single question I had to forward the email to multiple people 🤦. And I thought to myself “If there was a group chat we could all join, this would have gotten solved within a week” but there was no way to create a group chat because support agents don’t ask customers for phone numbers or social media to add each other on. Support agents will never ask you to sign up to Slack or Discord to continue the support ticket because it doesn’t feel professional. But they will create a link when it comes to sharing screen captures, videos and voice call meetings. And so i created Jello, which has reduced 20 days of email support and forwarding, into a single week 🚀 Both me and my onboarding agent were able to add our developers to a temporary group chat, no contact details or sign ups required, and were able to quickly communicate the problem and bugs we were facing. All i did was share one link with them (and they did with their team), and that’s all it took to get us in one group chat and communicate properly 🔥 These are just a few use cases we’ve seen Jello solve, i’d love to hear about how you intend to use Jello, and your thoughts on disposable group chats We have an exciting roadmap to make disposable chats more powerful for communities, teams and weekly activities, you can beta test our upcoming features by joining our Beta Tester group chat (https://tryjello.com/chat/gain-p...) 😎 I would love to hear any feedback or questions about Jello. We invite you to launch your own group chat today, it takes one click to get started

Awesome concept! My brother isn't on any social media and planning family gatherings has always been a nightmare when trying to keep him in the loop. Definitely solves a HUGE problem for me 🔥

@s_ibrahim Nice to hear Ibrahim! These are the kind of problems we're looking to solve, in this day and age where there's (so) many social apps, getting everyone together can be a real challenge. Especially connecting with those who are detoxing from social media, to plan a day out. We'd love to hear more feedback from you as time goes on Thanks for supporting the launch 🙌
