Hello Product Hunt ๐Ÿ‘‹, So excited to be releasing first 1000 today. First 1000 at its core is a weekly newsletter about how companies got their first 1000 customers. How did companies get from 0->0.25. Each week we cover a new company, and try to uncover a new strategy/hustle/hack that those founders have leveraged to get the wheels going. To give you a little taste, here are some of the stories we covered Slice -> and how its founder turned his company into a fax-orders generation machine to sign his first pizzerias Spotify->and how they managed to create the โ€œillusionโ€ of a better product to win early customers. Bloomberg->and how he made morning coffee runs to land his first enterprise client. Zumper ->and how they developed a tool to generate leads from their competitors. Stitch Fix -> and how they launched their company without a landing page we even a teardown on Product Hunt ๐Ÿ˜‰. Signing up as well! That sounds like one of only a few newsletters that actually provide a lot of value. Although I would also be curious to learn more about early acquisition strategies of the "mid-sector". Not only the big companies and unicorns, but also the ones in the middle, that might not be super big, but are still doing really well.

For the next two issues actually we are interviewing YC companies from the batch of W21...not quite the midmarket u r looking for but will do my best...Any company comes to mind when u think of "mid-sector"? I have covered companies like Convertkit, Zapier, Tara.ai, Snackpass, Linear, Slice and DoNotPay which I hope is more of what you are looking for (?) Curious to hear your thoughts

Great idea! Do you get your insights only from interviewing the founders? Or from books etc.? Or a mixture of both, perhaps?

@vasgo its a mix of all three. For example the Bloomberg issue, I read his three biography books to put it together. Airbnb, Uber, Doordash was very research intensive. Tara, Pageflows and DoNotPay were interviews...
