Treeapp is a mobile app enabling anyone to plant a tree for free everyday in less than a minute.
Open the app, choose your reforestation reforestation project, watch a 60 second advertisement, and the advertising brand will sponsor your tree!

So who are we?
We're 3 co-founders (Leo, Jules and myself) coming from France/China/Greece, and we met at uni. We all went in different directions when we finished our studies. But last summer, we had more and more discussions about how we really wanted to have our own social/environmental impact. Just do our little bit for the planet you know? I mean, there is always a lot more you can do, and I myself try to push my boundaries every day in that direction (you know what I hate? plastic-packed fruits... just wtf?).
Anyway.
Looking out for options - there just wasn't a simple solution out there. Either you had to pay, or you had to go directly to an NGO - but to be honest it's hard to keep to track of what you give over time and see what's really happening behind the scenes..
So Treeapp was born!
Our focus when building the app was making it as simple as possible. And that's what we did! You arrive on a world map where you choose where you want to plant your tree, then click on "plant", and after watching a 60 second ad campaign from a green partner, you'll have your tree funded by the business advertising to you!
Through our planting partners, we're regrowing the world's lost forests where they are most needed - from the Nepalese mountains to deserts in Ethiopia. We're now planting in Haiti, Brazil, Guinea, Madagascar, Nepal, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Mozambique, Kenya and Burundi.
You can also track how many trees your friends have planted, nudge them to remind them to plant another tree, and track how much carbon you've offset by planting trees!
We also enable organisations to plant trees for every purchase/order (for example online stores), buy carbon credits, and loads of different ways to be more sustainable in the way they operate.
Unfortunately the app is only available in the UK and Ireland. But would love any feedback from users who were able to download it. :)
