Somewhere early in 2013, I found myself packing up my belongings and preparing for a move from somewhere in northern Europe to a large city in Southeast Asia. I had been asked to join a multinational firm there and was excited about the move from a career perspective, but not only that. What people soon started telling me was "where you are going is a great place to explore the region from, you can do weekend trips to tropical beach island so-and-so and city trips to bustling Asian metropolis this-and-that!" I was excited indeed. The first weeks went as expected, I was working 60-70 hours a week and in the weekends my wife and I were exploring the city we had just moved to. But after a month or so the travel bugs started to itch: where would we travel to? We couldn't choose. We liked beaches, we liked big cities, we liked mountains, culture and history. And although there were easily thousands of locations that would have fit the bill for this description, we simply could not choose or were unaware of them. Meticulously investigating every single location became a drag. That's when I decided there had to be a better way to go about this, and that is the story of how Travelindicator was born. Travelindicator takes a data-driven approach to discovering travel destinations and puts the would-be traveler firmly in control of discovering those, allowing you to query our extensive database of travel destinations to filter out places based on combinations of up to 23 different travel themes (which are rated from 0 to 100% as voted on by users themselves), their own distance to them, the average weather at a given time of year, indicative travel costs and average hotel prices. By saving destinations, users can build their own itineraries, while voting, messaging and reviews of destinations add a modest social aspect into the mix. We are reaching out to you now as we are interested in your opinion on Travelindicator. What is useful, what is less useful, how can we improve and make this project bigger and better? - Jaap: The mind behind travelindicator.com

What can be cooler than using good apps for traveling ? A lot of people install such apps in order to save money and I think it's a wise decision. I know one site too Planet of Hotels which helps me to save a lot of money as I find the best hotel via this service. Isn't it cool too guys ? Good luck !
